One interesting player to look at is Pedro Goncalves of Sporting.

He has more than adequately replaced Bruno Fernandes in that attacking mid role as they lead the Portuguese liga table.

Scored 14 goals from 17 matches so far this season with a decent number of chances created too.

One big issue is that he is a Jorge Mendes commodity which is clear from his career trajectory so far.

Valencia -> Wolves -> Famalicao -> Sporting.

To be fair most people here say they expect to get above 20m for Guendouzi last season.

I think that was before fans left stadiums and he was a starter for us. That was reasonable. The world is a very different place 12 months on

And with the trouble we had getting rid of Torreira last summer even before his terrible loan at Atletico, I highly doubt we get more than 15M for him. So 20M for the pair as likely as not. I'd say we can raise 60M this summer from sales of fringe players before we need to replace starters: 20M from the pair above, 20M from Lacazette, say 15M from Chambers (unless we keep him as 5th CB / backup DM) and 5M from Elneny. Starters who can leave (Xhaka, Bellerin) should be another 50M, but all that cash needs to be redeployed in replacing them.

Been impressed with Raphiniha these last few weeks. Think he'll probably be at a bigger club in the future. Wouldn't mind us gambling on him.

I ride with Quincy into this battle. Raphina isn't as good as the players we are developing or hoping to make permanent.

Get a partner for Partey and work outwards from there. Didn't folks watch the Benfica game?

He's one of those players that looks good because he has great technique and a super long shot, but doesn't actually do much through the game.
