To be fair, Klaus never liked any CB named Gabriel. He dislike Paulista, don't fancy Magalhaes and I remember him dissing Paletta's hair.

Renato Sanches is an interesting prospect, would definitely like someone of his style to line up next to Partey, not sure if he is the guy though.. Injuries are a concern.

Why would he leave?

He's 30 and perennially injured, major reason for that being the French neanderthals having it in for him massively and kicking him to bits. Imagine if he came to the PL playing vs Burnley or West Brom, he'd leave in a wheelchair.

As is KdB at MC = why I said MO is a potential replacement for him if we fail to regain UCL sooner rather than later.

Pretty much. I'd have a CM well ahead of replacing Laca and Cedric in terms of importance though. If we get a striker then neither of those 2 are in the first XI.

"We need two strikers in summer" is a bit of a problem.

We definitely need one excellent forward by hook or by crook. It'd be nice to have a quality second stringer as well, but then there's the issue of when that player gets to feature, and whether he's actually any good.

I've been in favour of flipping Lacazette, but it might be better to keep him around, while also considering conversion projects or internal solutions, than go for someone who can't readily be integrated or satisfied with playing time who might not even be that great.

Depends if Laca wants to stay next season as 2nd string, and more so with OL talking about bringing him back.

This is where versatility comes in. Martinelli could be very useful in that sense.
