Probs get in an unknown or two bit for the winger and midfield additions I’d be happy with a pick n mix from these pools

Winger: Diaby, Gakpo, Mudryk, Pino, Bowen, Sane, Berardi

Midfield: SMS, Paqueta, Maddison, Caicedo, Tonoli,

Looks alright. Doesn't massively do it for me. Seems more suited to a wingback  roll in the prem.

If we are going for a winger instead of a CM, he needs to be really top top tier

That's the conclusion you get from watching his highlights reel? That he is suited for wingback role?

Right now.. Could be yeah. Looks like his stand out features are that he is quick, good carrier of the ball and tenacious.. far from convinced any of his tricks would work in the prem, especially the way he runs past players like they are in slow motion 😆 but hey, maybe he is the white Usain Bolt. End product/decision making looks questionable as well from other clips but he is still young.

Actually thing a lot of wingers could have had better careers if they dropped back into a wingback/FB role.. The position has evolved some much now.

Anyway, I've seen him for 5 seconds, im sure he could probably play on the wings eventually for a decent club, just more highlighting that he if we want a ready made winger to come in and have an instant impact. Doubt this is the guy.

One of the key things for me for whoever comes in needs to have consistent quality end product as something like that does not get taught over a few months.

TBH whilst I love pace in attacking roles, I'd much prefer to sacrifice some pace to have the ability to retain possession whilst running at Defenders as seen from Jesus for the opening goal v Bournemouth, or any of the slaloming runs seen from Messi. An ability to change gears quickly with a burst of acceleration to go past defenders and/or break into space.

Mudryk is most likely not going anywhere. The player is very open about his career, said Brentford Juventus and Leverkusen have bid for him but he said he wants only Leverkusen which would be a smart career move. However Srna has changed his mind about selling him and he's staying there now.

As for comparisons he's basically a white Diaby, very similar player types. Low centre of gravity, great dribbling, rapid comfortable with either foot only thing he's lacking is scoring himself but neither did Diaby before last season.

really shoulda gone for this guy

Or maybe don't let him leave for 200k.

Serious misjudgement by Wenger and his coaches to let this person leave

To be honest I think it was a bigger misjudgement not to take him back when we had the buyback clause since his quality was obvious at that point.

Maybe he didn't want to come back? Surely the clause only works if he wants to come back.

End of the day some slip through your fingers for whatever reason, we've got a decent record in that respect. Around that time the club wasn't exactly being run well either so these things happen.

bennacer and gnabry are the only two sales we can look back with regret from the late Wenger and emery years. most other sales like ox, gibbs, iwobi, ramsey etc. were well justified

In terms of value though definitely alot more sales to regret. But in terms of how their career turned out you are right.

Martinez as well if you ask me.

How was Lamptey yesterday? Last time I saw him he seemed to be a bit lethargic, and off the boil. Are his injuries definitely a thing of the past now?

Konrad Laimer and Moussa Diaby

Starting it early.

Danilo, Mudryk. Lets complete these in January to get a full complete squad

Christopher Nkunku. Risk it all in January

Danilo and Neto, hopefully Wolves are midtable safe from relegation and not challenging for Europa spots at this time. Find the cash somehow.

Does Neto really raise the level?
I sat and watched a recording of the City - Forest game last night. This guy Haaland can do whatever he wants. He is faster, stronger and jumps higher than everyone. It's a fucking joke. We need players who raise the level. We have a great base now. Get Nkunku.

Doesn't Nkunku have a release clause that's activated in the summer? And it's pretty cheap so he's basically ensured himself the Haaland treatment - that he can pick and choose among every club. Reckon RM will go hard for him.

We can start to put ourselves in these conversation now. Real Madrid and Barcelona are a different kettle of fish obviously, but within England I feel like we are the most attractive club for him to come to after Manchester City. Our trajectory is exciting. Fans on board.
