Haaland has a chance to pass Mbappe, proving himself playing in a real league instead of starring in football’s answer to the Harlem Globetrotters.

Hopefully, he just stayed at PSG to help promote the World Cup (which in itself would be cause for football’s introspection), and he can leave next year.

He’s exceptional too. Comes across as a Wally in interviews

Mbappe has never left France and he's still become the best player in the world talking about "real league", if anything PSGs ascent has lead to more money flowing into other teams and more talent staying where it was produced.

Hope he'll stay there because what's the point in Galacticos 3.0? Sure as hell don't want him tearing us a new one at one of our rivals

Wonderful. PSG trickle down economics saving a Ligue 1.
PSG’s wage bill is 40% of Ligue 1 total wages. That is, they spend about 12x what the average Ligue 1 club spends on wages. It’s a farce. Makes Bayern look like good guys

Yeah it's not great but even worse for them when all French and African talent passes through Ligue 1 and goes abroad immediately. PSG becoming a rich club was a catalyst to Nice, Rennes Marseille etc also getting rich owners, at least the league gets to enjoy the talent it unearths for a while longer.

diaby looks like the one, if we want a wide player that offers immediate impact, upside potential and offers something a bit different to our current wingers. might be out of reach by the end of this season though

I'm with Claude on Mbappe, he needs to leave PSG to be a true great. Like Benz at Real Madrid for example.

I watch Ligue 1 alot and its pretty dull with all the talent concentrated at one Club and one sided scorelines everywhere. Nobody talks much about PSG players and huge talents like Verratti become forgotten men.

Too true and I'm sure he know this. Mbappe will play for Real eventually.

Rafael leao looked great against inter. he seems to keep getting better. seems to have a contract impasse with Milan, could be a good wide option for us

He was Serie A's best player last season, wasn't he? Feel like he's nearing ungettable territory, but would be great of course. Milan rejected a €100m from Chelsea this summer.

He’s got two years left on his contract.

We definitely signed the wrong winger from Lille in the summer of 2019.

Want to see him in the CL to see his true level.

Yeah he was incredible for Milan last year and so far this year. He really can only play on the wing though, he's bad as a striker. His pace and strength have been dominating defenders over there.

Apparently the whole drama with him and his contract negotiations started after he wanted money to cover the money he owes to Sporting (he broke his contract and signed for Lille for free). I guess Sporting sued him for unlawfully breaking his contract, which resulted in the courts saying that he owes Sporting 19m euros. I guess Mendes tried to help him by getting Chelsea to buy him to take care of it or something, but that didn't work out. I guess we will see happens with his contract then.

no way he'd consider us, he's a Madrid level signing. Outperformed Haaland in Germany last season, same Haaland who's scoring/assisting twice per game in England so far.

Also not sure it's a great idea to pull a forward who scored 35 and assisted 20 last season into midfield.

Nkunku said he'd love to come back to PSG one day to be with his BFF Mbappe... I can see them doing throwing crazy money again to re-sign him.

Danilo and Kvartshkelia.

The Napoli winger? Heard alot of glowing reviews on him

Name's been butchered a bit but he's been a revelation, came from Georgia and immediately showed his class in Italy.

Bit surprised at Claude wishlisting players from leagues like that, didn't take him for a patriotic hipster.

Kvaratskhelia (thanks for correction Jones)
He’s mainly playing on the left. Great at progressing the ball by just running past guys, and generates a lot of shots and dangerous passes. Plays with flair and confidence. He would bring Saka like qualities either to spell the Englishman or play on opposite wing.

Lol at Serie A being a hipster league. I think we are similar ages. I grew up with Serie A being by far the best league in the world. Every top team was like the Avengers, a galaxy of superheroes.

Aren't you in your early 40s?
