I dont recall where exactly but I read something along these lines too some time ago. Not related to FFP but apparently their mouthpieces in media have a record of inflating incoming fees and downplaying incoming player wages to create a buzz around the club or something, I'll see if I can find the twitter thread of some guy who listed the discrepancies in reported and actual fees.
No doubt though they and Especially Chelsea do much better than us selling their players. Early on Wenger was the reason we received next to nothing for our outgoings but that should be in the past by now.
