The root cause of our problems is Xhaka. I don’t hate the guy. I think he’s one of our most committed players. But if you look at the speed ar which he plays, variety of passing, inability to run with the ball, you realize that our entire offense lacks an ignition

I've been saying all along, there are good deals to be had for good players across Europe so long as they aren't the hype player of the month or playing for either the big boys or the likes of Lyon. This is especially so in the case of Spain and Italy where the big teams monopolise the tv income and the rest are strugglinsg for money. It's just a case of doing your scouting and identifying the players that suit your style.

This is a stretch. Xhaka isn't world class but if the teams functioning he's can be good. His range of passing is in no way a problem either, not even close.

You think Klopp is a mug for spending 200m+ of hype players like Fabinho, Keita and VVD?

There will always been good bargains to be found, but by in large top clubs spend big money for the so called hype players. Bayern are no exception.

Those who can't however need to be smarter with their purchases, and given some time and resources dedicated to good scouting, you can find quality players for decent prices.

I mentioned Klopp, because he's an excellent example of taking a team in our position to the very peak of football. Yes, 100% he signed a few bargains, but in the end he had to also spend a shitload on some very good, hyped players with big premiums, not because he couldn't be bothered to scout, but because they were what would get them to the next level.

When all your midfielders struggle to find good forward passes you need to start realising its not the midfielders that are the problem.

That's an insanely good deal. He's like a huge upgrade on Xhaka for example. Bayern pull off all these bargains all the time.

If we don't sign Aouar + 1 more midfielder we would look like mugs passing out on someone like him

Arteta is definitely trying to create defensive security first as a platform. No doubt. But we also have technical limitations that we shouldn’t be afraid to call out. Xhaka is full of them and is a large part of why our center doesn’t attack due to the deficiencies listed above

The main reason the midfielders take too long on the ball, as is a regular complaint, is because they are struggling to find good options in front of them. Our forwards hardly move, and there are so few of them now that it becomes very hard to make a really good pass.

I would be cautious here.

Roca is talented but unproven.

Lets not forget that he was starting every game for one of the worst La Liga teams last season (Espanyol) who were getting overrun in the midfield in every single game.
