Of course but that's the risk you run when you appoint a manager with no prior top flight experience. And then gut the entire support structure of the club right down to the scouting team in the same year. Yeah, the players are better than we've seen recently but that's the case with any under performing team and it usually costs the manager his job - nothing new there but that doesn't stop the rot for long.

Was reading an article that suggested that in making Arteta Manager, combined with gutting the club structures, has effectively neutered his ability to perform in any one role.
AW said much the same about his latter years, that his 'other' roles at the club detracted from his priority being the football and team.
I suspect we have done the same thing too fast with an inexperienced, if talented, manager.

Well our xPts has has around 13th and around 3 points off 7th. I think they sounds about right and it’s where I expect we will be by the end of the season.

It's basically the run of games after Chelsea. If we don't get a few wins there and get some momentum, we are basically doomed. I think we will be ok once Partey comes back.

Yeah we need to beat Brighton and West Brom to put space between us and the relegation battle. But I'm not confident of that, we lost to Burnley

Chelsea is an assumed loss. after that, we have to start winning immediately to avoid being legitimately in the relegation fight. if not for some needless buffoonery in the last few games we'd have picked up a few more points

No, and how is that relevant? I didn't think Everton would be title challengers at this point, and I still don't think they will be when the season is over.

I don't think we're close to hitting rock bottom personally. Give it another month of this shit and we're going to have players in open rebellion. Arteta still hasn't lost the entire dressing room. Just imagine what it'll be like when he does.

If he stays too long we will have a relegation battle. He has gotten more points this season than his football has been worth, and we only have 14 points.

I think the club is already in preservation mode on and off the pitch, and there will be little to no activity in the Jan transfer window.
I certainly do not expect KSE to provide additional funding to purge the playing squad, and I do not expect them to now be willing to take a loss on the current player values in order to rebuild.

This rotten core of players will outlast their 3rd manager, and will depart as free agents at the end of the season as if their shit doesn't stink and the club will not have learned anything.

Poch is not the inspirational guy that will come in and save us. If he’s so good why is there a big fat zero against him when it comes to trophies?

We already tried the Freddie experiment, it was a disaster.

Who else next? Wenger? What about Emery?
