Technically immense, but held onto the ball for too long, in a team striving for quick passing .

Nasri is a rat, but I'll never forget any of those three goals.
I don't remember any of them 😆
I think he went around the keeper once in a bossy way. Was that against Fulham?
I think Nasri would have been a better fit for us today probably. He always was a central player at heart, he was just plainly better when he could see more of the field, but he was never good enough to play as a 10 and he wasn't tactical enough to play a holding role either. He would have been good in a three-man midfield though.

That's a fair point. He is a possession player and ball retainer. Not explosive enough to break through lines as a wide player nor creative enough as a number 10.
Those days we dropped a lot of direct threat after he replaced Hleb because he love to pass sideways and dribble backwards.
One of Theo's few good performances at CF.
Quality team there, with Sanchez, Theo, Ozil up front, and a nice midfield of Coquelin, Cazorla and Ramsey.

BBC running a poll to pick a historic FA Cup final to rerun on Cup Final day. 79 is in the mix, with eight others.
I hope Arsenal's social media following gets on board with this. Would be good to watch it through as live next weekend.

Yeah, exactly. Not enough top end quality to really dominate in the final third. What he did have was a bit of attitude on him, which you could see when we faced Barca for instance. He was always one of those unfazed players who knew he was talented enough to go up against a team like that, whereas most of our players throughout the years have shat the bed as soon as they've faced any half-decent opposition in the Champions League knockout rounds.

Hopefully all the Liverpool options split their vote because I could see a recency bias causing people to vote for Liverpool vs West Ham, which was a great match in fairness but I'd rather watch us win instead.
The Liverpool vs West Ham final was great until Gerrard scored.
Yeah remember watching it and feeling sorry for the Hammers. They dominated and should have finished the game way earlier
This is probably my fav shootout of all time. Almost every single penalty is perfect into the top corner from us
The quality of that shoot out compaired to the one agaisnt roma really hightlighted the drop off.
Scoring 7 out of 8 is pretty good and will win you most shoot-outs though.
If Scholes was so great, how come he missed that pen?

If you're referring to the Roma shoot out. It was dire. You can be dire and get lucky but on the whole its ongoing to bite you in the ass.
Watching the whole 2005 FA Cup Final on the FA's official youtube channel.
10 minutes to penalties now.
I remember us being terrible and getting very lucky.
We were less terrible than I remember, but we got far luckier than I remember!
Don’t know what you’re talking about. We were great. Destroyed them. Win well deserved.

I watched that recently too. We've become so desensitized to humiliating batterings the last 10 years, it makes the 05 cup final look close fought in hindsight. It was a battering for the team of those days if man u had 60-70% of the game, which they did on that day
Who cares, we won. Football is such a game where you can be the better team but still not win, ManU didn't take their chances and a certain ginger pr*ck chocked during the penalties so we won....enjoy it!
