The "panic buying" stories in Australia are overstated, in my opinion. There's been a run on a few basic products, and non-perishable food that has led to a few empty supermarket shelves.
Maybe 10,000 people haven't been able to get what they want or the equivalent out of a nation of twenty-five million, there's been a few dozen arguments at stores three or four of which have turned into scuffles. This isn't a crisis at all, there's this much random public violence on any given day.
