We'd be getting very little up front cash for them apart from bellerin. We've committed resources to willian, gabriel, ceballos, and will commit a chunk of wages to auba. In this covid impacted environment, yes, i think we'd need to sell all 5 to cover parteys release clause and wages

I think it's obvious that Arsenal have damaged his valuation with how open they are about his attitude problems though. I guess it's fair to the fans to tell them about the situation, but it doesn't work saleswise.

The other issue is that he never produced much on the actual pitch to set him apart from his contemporaries. There are no United fans who long for Guendouzi when they have McTominay, no Chelsea fans who'd rather have him than Mount or Gilmour. There's a difference between playing a lot of games at an early age and playing well, and it often gets blurred when people get excited over the former.

We got him cheap because he was a problem kid and it's only fair that we let him go cheap in return too. Getting twice of what we paid for him would be decent business in this market. Let someone else have a crack at him after that. The value isn't there and we can't be stuck haggling over a few million when we have a squad to put together and very little time to do it.

I'd rather loan him out, time on the pitch will increase his price, rather than sell him for cheap. No one is expecting Aouar money, but £25m-£30m should be the minimum.

Its definitely hurt his price but its hard to argue with Arteta putting his foot down and making examples of Guendouzi and Ozil. Its the sort of thing that needed to happen at this club as players have been treating it like a holiday camp for too long.

Just need to take the financial hit and move on.

I’m having nightmares of El Neny becoming a mainstay in that midfield if either Xhaka or Ceballos gets injured. Way too lightweight in that department right now. We won’t get away with it for too long.

We must make a big midfield signing and we should hopefully do it soon.

We will. Arteta emphasised the need to bridge the gap in quality between us and the best enough times these past few months. Edu has indicated that we’re not yet done in the market too

He’ll have 1 year left on his contract this time next year, so we won’t get much for him either way.

You guys talk like scouts walk about with blinders and make decisions based on 3 months of data. Besides, he captained the French U-21 team Friday despite being a club football outcast. That’s a team with Edouard, Dembele, Koundé, Soumare, Kamara, The Jeff, etc. He played the full 90 and seemed to do well. The player is rated. We just need to be fair about his pricing. It’s probably aligned with all the other players in that list.

What's Doozi worth I wonder. Given his behaviour would you buy him? Someone would be taking a bit of a punt that they can tame him and harness his potential. Is he worth more than 10-15m Euros in this climate?

Van de Beek went to United for 40 million, you do the math. Is Guendouzi half the player he is? And that's before you factor in disciplinary issues.
