Seconded. Hopefully we see something happen this week and get an indication as to what the club is planning. Would be nice to know what the guys up top are thinking.

I'd settle for that. Come next season if we've made CL add Upamecano, a Partey-type CM, possibly another wide forward and transition to a 4231.

I definitly prefer Partey to Aouar if we are sticking with this formation

Partey is exceptional and would give us the option of playing 4 at the back

I'm not sure that 2 man midfield would work in the PL. Our CMs still play very deep despite the back 5. I really hope Arteta looks to move to a back 4 again in most games and saves the bag 5 for big games where we need to play on the back foot more. We don't create nearly enough going forward in that formation.

Yeah, it really depends on what formation we play, but Ceballos + one AM is a must. AMN on the right will be absolutely ideal, but I wonder if Tierney can play the hybrid CM role on the left.

If 343 is here to stay, I will sell Bellerin and Kolasinac to raise funds, make AMN our primary RB and sign another LB like Reguilon who is amazing in attack. Will add a lot to our attack our wing backs is one of our main outlet in this formation

If it's 3 at the back, I think Aouar will be further forward. If it's 4 at the back it will be a midfield triangle.

Partey will also help us massively when facing physical Brexit teams like Sheff United, Burnley and Spurs

Tierney down the left is a must once we get our CBs up to speed. He offers far more in the final 3rd than any of our other full backs. If AMN stays and makes the RWB spot his own he'll have to offer more in attack than he's shown. It shouldn't be a problem for him really, he has the tools to do it.

Playing an AM in this formation is just asking for trouble. We attack from the wings. Also creativity can come in different ways. We are becoming alot better in transitioning the ball and Partey (or someone similar) is a turnover machine which would be a massive plus to the current set up.

Im hoping Arteta can drill in another formation into the team like a 352 when we need to pack the midfield and then we are able to change our tactics in game to become more versatile.

For 3 at the back, this should be a realistic squad depth.

Imperative we sell Mustafi, Sokratis, Lacazette, Torreira, Kolasinac for funds. Bellerin if needed since it's probably unrealistic to sell Cedric. The way I see it LB will be a weak link in terms of depth

Totally agree. 1 injury or suspension and you are down to play Elneny or Willock every week. No way is that enough. If we are selling players like Torreira, Laca, etc you'd want to see a bit more quality coming in to make up for it than just Aouar.

Watch out for the English sirens and the insertions of City and Gunners. A first offer of the #Arsenal to the #Lione for #Aouar . It comes from a base of 50 million euros.

Only two things are certain. 1) Juve has complete agreement with player; 2) Lyon will sell this summer. But watch out for City and Arsenal now trying to get in, with Arsenal planning to make a 50M offer next week.

I prefer partey and ceballos over aouar and ceballos myself, but i wouldn't be disappointed with the latter

Fwiw sam lee who is basically citys ornstein equivalent, has said aouar isnt a priority for them. Christian falk who is a bayern beat reporter has also said theyre not pushing for him either

Juventus are the problem, but really, do they have the money?

Hopefully we can get this one over the line, would be a huge signing. The midfield needs major work, but we seemingly have identified the right type of players.

We need to switch to four at the back if we want to be a more attacking side. Three at the back works well against the better sides especially if we don't concede first but we need to be a lot better against the lesser sides.
