To be fair it doesn’t help when Chelsea have signed or are on the verge of signing half a dozen players.

But yeah, pretty much everywhere else is quiet and I imagine everyone is low balling and playing hard ball. We have 2.5 weeks until the season starts so plenty of time. Really we just need to Ceballos deal done then we can be a little more patient with anything further, and that will probably happen quickly when it does.

Was thinking about something Crouch said after the Shield game about LFC looking for a different style CF as a PlanB option with all the crosses into the area. He said they should go for someone dominant in the air to make those crosses a genuine goal threat for times they cannot break down a defence with the ball on the ground. Made me think of the earlier talk of us being linked to the likes of Weghorst and another tall CF type as similar options for us re the quality of crosses from Tierney and Pepe was saw last season.

The A in his last name is not actually an A but a voiced pharyngeal fricative, sounds a little like clearing your throat. Unless you're a native speaker you probably will struggle to pronounce it correctly.

If we integrate Aouar, Gabriel, Willian, and Saliba, it would’ve been quite the summer. Discard some stragglers and then put some finishing touches next summer with the Champions League money we will surely get. We can’t finish behind Spurs again.

Jed, that squad feels too defensive. What you want with the back 3 is ability to switch them into fullbacks or midfielders. Saliba can do it but isn’t as effective as Tierney. You limit your ability to pack offense.

He'd be 1-2 years away from really lighting up the epl, but it can't be understated the immediate difference aouar would make to our transition game. Carries the ball forward quickly and picks the right option with well weighted passes

You're correct, the H in Houssem is a voiceless pharyngeal fricative - equally difficult to pronounce for most
