I'd much rather get Partey to be honest. He will act as a base in MF and allow us to over time get rid of Xhaka as well as move back to a 4-3-3 formation. If not Partey, let's go for Sangare, Soumare, Camara, etc. and let's lock this position down. I think it will do us a lot more good than Aouar for now.

Distribution from the bottom will be a problem still. Given financial constraints, I’d understand a Thiago bid. He’d be much cheaper, but he’s an expert at passing through the lines. Can play with or in place of Xhaka. Let’s us stop cycling the ball in the back 4 of 5 and get it up quickly. Get him, get Ceballos and then you have the option of Ceballos alone or Ceballos with Willian in the midfield.

The Ceballos deal has taken a bit of pressure off. Gives us time to get another midfielder in. Hopefully we land our big fish whoever that may be.

If rumours linking Lacazette to a move are correct I wonder if we will look to bring a CF in. Auba is better on the left and apart from Eddie we don't have many options in the senior squad.

Wonder does that mean Laca is out. Pretty big overhaul if we can get some new mids and we end up getting a new striker. Edouard makes a lot of sense though, could be the long term successor to Auba if it works out.
