Doesn't the window close in October?

Yes window goes on til October. There is a two week period at the end which is just for deals with the Football League. We have until then to shift scrubs. But the sooner we have the players we need the sooner we can start working on our plays
He's come to the club as a potential top coach with no experience. This trophy is big for his credibility and status within the club.
League season ended in disappointment but we've finished the season strong. Have beaten Liverpool, City & Chelsea within a month. In that month we should have beaten Leicester and Spurs as well.
The club need to back him and he needs to improve our attacking play and this club means business again.

Let's not forget we also beat Wolves and SU away from home. The team has definitely made progress but there is still loads of work to do and I'm happy that Arteta is the man who will be doing that work.
TH are the only team above us we failed to beat this season across all domestic comps = when was the last time we beat the top5/6?
When did we beat Leicester?
Arteta got Aubameyang and Lacazette working well together. He’s immense.
He also programmed the players with a few go to combinations. The ball down the line for auba, pepe latching onto cutbacks at the top of the box, lofted balls to the far post. We've lacked these basic meat and potatoes repetitions that players can revert to with minimal mental gymnastics. You can tell they've been drilling these on the training ground

His finals record is certainly impressive. Played 3 lost 3.

We're so much better at slowing down and killing off the game when we have the lead. Definitely worked with the team on some dark arts of football.

Even Tierney knows how to play act to kill time. We lacked these arts for a long time.

Love that move, scored a few from that. Pepe has amazing delivery.
Lille’s technical director said that’s what Lille scouted him for. They noticed he had elite level deliveries and finishes. Said his finishes showed a superior understanding of goalie mechanics. He knew the exact spaces to beat them.
This player just needs to gel with his team more. And he needs more vertical balls from midfield. Defenders must loathe him. The guy delivered the type of cup final we were looking for. I’m proud.
It wasn’t just his skills on the ball but also off it. That’s the hardest I’ve seen him work. It looked liked he really wanted it badly yesterday which was great to see as my biggest gripe with him last season was work ethic.

Bugger = I blame the lack of sleep yesterday.

IIRC he started playing as a GK before becoming an outfield player. He said it helps him understand what the GK is looking to try to do when he's preparing to shoot.
Another thing arteta has quickly established is dressing room clout. He's turned results around and led the team to silverware. This gives him much more gravitas when it comes to demanding more from the players, and also freezing out whoever isnt pulling their weight. Emery tried establish the same authority but was unable to win hearts and minds the way mikel has
