First and foremost welcome back home again Mikel.
He may not have been my first choice as my thinking was based upon still using the extant squad for another shot at redemption re top4/Europa. However the lack of any positive response post Emery would suggest that strategy to be a forlorn hope and to further prolong putting off what essentially needs to be done to move forward and make real progress.
Now we are making a bold statement regarding long term planning beyond the current squad I am fully supportive of this appointment, and I expect the club to provide the level of support and commitment that he will demand of himself in order to achieve his aims.
The key point for me from his introduction was his comments about wanting to understand the why and how as to why the team, club and players find themselves in the current state, and to then try to help the players to get on board with what he is trying to do. That said I also expect to see some senior players to 'fail' his demand for total commitment to the cause. Further to that I also expect to see some players 'fail' in terms of public displays of disrespect to the Manager/Head Coach, team, supporters or club.
