Often overlooked is that in the same window Dembele came in for €125m. Now while he has a high potential, he was never on a galactico path. Raul took that Neymar money and tossed it in the air like Drake at the King of Diamonds

That was because the Griezmann fee had to be paid in one lump sum. They probably made Everton an ibstalments offer that wouldn't be paid up until Richarlison was practically retired, as they did in their transfers with us.

If their interest is real, it does say something about how much the real talent around Europe is going to cost this summer.

A busy last two days in Serie A.

Roma have agreed to sign Atalanta centerback Roger Ibanez on a loan deal with an obligation to buy.
They also reportedly signed Barca's young striker Carles Perez.
Meanwhile they are sending captain Alessandro Florenzi on loan to Valencia.

Gazidiz and Boban seem to clearing the house at Milan.
They have sent Suso to Sevilla on a loan deal with obligation to buy.
Ricardo rodriguez seems to be on his way to PSV Eindhoven.
Piatek is reportedly joining Hertha Berlin.

IMHO, he is out and out an old fashioned poacher without any outstanding physical or technical attributes.

Pioli and co don't want to tailor their gameplan to just accommodate a player who gives you very few options tactically.

So Milan were happy to sell without incurring any losses.

Emre can seems to be on his way to Dortmund on an initial loan with an obligation to buy.

This was on the cards after he was frozen out of any playing time at Juve.

On the other hands, Paco Alcacer is on his way back to Spain with Villarreal the most likely destination.

Under the circumstances I'm happy with our business - 2 issues addressed on loans with options to buy, that won't prevent any planned transfer activity in the summer. The other bonus being it frees up both AMN and Saka from their covering roles so they can return to development in their preferred positions and for Arteta to be able to judge them on merit.
It also has potential flow on effects in terms of Xhaka's selection and the make-up of our midfield in a more attacking configuration.

I think they're a good choice for him as well. He's a really hard worker and will fit in well in their midfield the way I see it.
