Inter is the right club for him because he will go there as one of their best players. He perhaps could have got City, PSG, Bayern or Juve to bite in the summer, he might have even been viewed as a good pickup for Barca or Real for nothing, but he'll play in his best position for Conte and be a starter.
Inter are the only club desperate enough to stump up money now for him. In the same position, this time last year, they probably would have offered us similar money for Ramsey, and £16.9m for him would not have made up for the £50m+ we could have got for him if we had sold when we should have. Eriksen's stock was far higher 18 months ago and he was only 26 at that time. I think they would have got considerably more than £50m if they had sold then.
Levy thought he could bully him into a new contract, but he stood firm, got a good move, on great money, whilst Tottenham got very little for their second most sellable asset. Happy days really.
