If there is anything to the rumor, it might have more to do with Martinez avoiding a Lopetegui-type fiasco. He's expected to deliver the Euros in 7 months time, and I am sure thats his sole focus.

So many conclusions being jumped onto in this thread. I think only some real insider reveal will give us an idea of what's really going on.

FWIW I agree with the general notion that the Management are just trying to make do for now and don't want to rush into appointments, including for temporary coaches. Is Freddie running his sessions with other department's coaches disruptive? Probably. Is it supposed to be for the whole season? Probably not.
