No but replace him with whoever you want and the outcome is still the same - we would have signed up to this whether Kroenke was here or not.

Kroenke was one of the ones pushing it. He didn't get forced into it.

I think it's pretty obvious he's just been sitting around waiting for this.

Not painting Abramovich and Mansour as good guys, but since they reportedly were reluctant to join the ESL and were the last ones who did after being afraid of being left behind the other four clubs (this being made more probable by the fact that they were the first two clubs to drop out), why do you find that hard to believe? If the other owners had the same stances as the City and Chelsea owners this never would've happened in the first place. And again, not saying they're off the hook.

Of course it would have. All our traditional rivals signed up to it and none of them are owned by Kroenke. As people referenced, Dein would have pushed for it, in fact I'd wager that every PL owner would have gone for it if they'd been invited...this is just the way football is going. Instead of answering a question you know the answer to I'll repeat the last sentence "If the other owners had the same stance as the City and Chelsea owners this never would've happened in the first place", since you seem to think it doesn't matter who owns the club.

How would we be left behind? There is no ESL, these idiots completely misjudged the situation. They don't understand football, they don't understand fans, they don't understand the market. They've dragged the clubs name through the mud for nothing.

Look at PSGs owners. They didn't sign up. Imagine how much bigger they'd be in a super league than Ligue 1.

PSG didn't join because the owner had deals with UEFA / FIFA on Bein sport, and the Qatar world cup.
