He won't be selected. By the sound of it he has made it clear to the club that he doesn't intend to play any more and wants to be transferred in January.

Granted, he can still be included in the squad on paper, but picking a player who doesn't show up is yet another embarrassment that I'm sure both Emery and the club feel they can do without right now.

I hope you are right - just concerned that Emery sees him as being ready to return to the playing squad & Ceballos is out injured until mid-December.

No ceballos. If unai still finds a way to play torreira in an advanced role i really give up

Think the midfield would have to be Torreira, Guendouzi and Özil, especially playing at home against Southampton. Do we even have the people to field a different lineup? Who's left on the bench - Willock? Maitland-Niles/Luiz as an emergency option?

Will put Willock and Guendouzi at base and Torreira up top. And then bring Pépé back and rest Ozil because Newton’s 4th law decrees that the two cannot occupy a football field at the same time. And he will look on with that sacked-in-the-morning face

Same line-up as v Wolves with Willock in for Ceballos?

PEA - Laca
Ozil
Willock - Guendouzi - Torreira

Emery gave us an update in his conference yesterday about injuries and such.

Pepe arrived late, did not train, he will train today...so he will decide on the day if he can play, same for Xhaka. Kolasinac, Saka, Holding didn’t train because of ’small injuries’. Ceballos is out till mid-December.

So Ozil no Pépé. 😆

It doesn’t really matter what Picasso-style monstrosity of a lineup we put out there. This is a team that even Wenger would hit 3-0. We have to assert ourselves now. Anything less should be concerning

5 at the back at home against Southampton. Kill me now.

Leno; Chambers, Sokratis, Luiz; Bellerin Torreira Guendouzi Tierney; Aubamayeng, Özil, Lacazette.

Basically Willock and Pépé removed from our best side

3 attackers on the pitch, at home vs Sotton.

5 at the back with 2 holding mids. Hahahahahahahahahaha

The line-up is actually decent. As long as we get the ball out of the back and Luiz pushes the team up, and we avoid Guendouzi playing keep ball with the defenders. Can work.

I guess you really have to respect the relegation contenders at fucking emirates.

I know the circumstances are funny but let’s be real. We could lose to Barnet in this form. If Emery needs extra defenders to assure the win that’s fine with me. This is a must fucking win no matter the approach.

Fans want the performance to go along with, something positive to hold on to. We struggled to a 1-0 win against Bournemouth and everyone was worried/angry. If we struggle today again with the performance it won't turn things around

Pathetic mentality.

I did say there is no way he is going to play Ozil and Pépé together. He doesn’t trust the two of them on the same field. £72m man and £350,000/week fella need to alternate. I wonder how Raul feels about that. Kroenke?
