I wouldn't start Willock v. Spuds. I was surprised he started v. Liverpool. He has been good, but we should be careful about playing him too much too early.

But this might be against popular opinion, but I think hes been much better than Guendouzi. There is something about Douzi's game that I dont like. He invites pressure by holding the ball too long in dangerous areas. Maybe if he was partnered with someone other than Xhaka but I dont like their combination.

Yea, same opinion about douzi. Plus, he's an ultra safe passer.

Hope we see Cebellos-Guendouzi-Torreira but think it'll be Xhaka in for Guendouzi. As others have said, time for Willock to get a bit of a breather. We need to manage his development.

Willock can rest later this month. He's hardly in the red after three games and has looked like our best midfielder to me. Let him play against the scum and then sit against Watford.

i agree, i think willock is ahead of guendo in terms of impact on the pitch

i'm worried that i'm feeling confident about this. last time i felt confident was the europa league final, and we all know how that turned out

anyway I'm still fairly certain we'll tonk 'em. We'll just ship a few too while doing it because Emery's way of doing things just invites chances.

So we'll need our front line to be at their best. Ceballos also needs to be up for this, as he's taking up Rambo's role in driving the team.

I have never eaten nor heard of Dolma, but from reading the Wikipedia article on it I don't see the problem with the dish. You stuff it with some kind of meat and some vegetables, why would we starve?

I don't drink coffee though.

I suppose it depends on what kind but the ones I were served before were small and in small quantities. It's like having falafels/samosas, doesn't feel like a meal.

Since the game's at 4:30 pm, I thought a (somewhat heavy) snack was the right meal for the time! Plus I love my evening coffee - can't live without it. Banduan's spot on with the falafel / samosa comparison.

I love samosas. Fill them with some peas, potatos, onion and ground beef and serve with salad and raita and nobody can tell me that's not a meal. Actually I think it's a great one, but that's not in small quantities.

There's no problem with the dish itself dolma are delicious. The question was why would you combine a starter - they are basically like antipasti - with coffee for a meal? Doesn't really fit

They can definitely be a full meal, if you add some mint raita or tamarind ginger sauce

Quincy sounds like one of those skinny ass people who goes on about how much food he eats and how he can never gain weight, only until you sit down and eat with him and he just about finishes a samosa and calls it a meal.

I expect us to play on the front foot in this one. Midfield is a tough one, I'd like Torriera to get a start, I'd like Cebaloos to start and I'm finding it hard to choose between Willock and Douzi for the last spot... then again I'd expect Xhaka to start (and I think this can be justified too)

In the end I'd say Willock and Douzi should be protected a little and go with a midfield of Xhaka, Torreira and Ceballos.

Auba, Laca and Pepe must start up top in a front 3 though.

That Emery played that 442 for so long without changes in a losing effort suggests to me that he wanted the players to get some practice in that formation. I suspect he uses it again against Spurs

Hmm, not sure about that. I'm sure we'll see that formation again over the course of the season which may explain why he stuck with it, but I think that it was a very specific to Anfield, or geared towards a big away game. I hope not anyway, there's no way we should be playing on the counter at home to Spurs.

I think it was a one off for the occasion. I don't think we'll try it against Spurs and I'd be pretty pissed off if we did. Liveprool at Anfield is a very specific game at the moment and I think its good to try things in that circumstance but its not a tactic I'd want to see regularly. We need our PAL™ against Spurs.
