nuno looks like an able number 2 option, and if KT is going through a rough patch he looks capable of dislodging him. he does have a certain madlad/wild card energy which cuts both ways though. we'll see how he goes with a run of games

It looks like Tierney, whilst looking out of sorts from an attacking perspective has been pretty solid defensively this season. Felt like he struggled with fitness quite a bit early on and wasn't his usual self bombing up and down the flanks. But last few games he's looked a lot sharper and explosive in his forward runs even if his final ball has been a bit lacking. The guy is top quality though.

Ironically I feel like he was quite easy to drible past before, it was his biggest weakness the way I saw it. His games where he's good in attack are probably fewer than the ones he aren't at this point, but hopefully he has it in him and it isn't just a case of being "figured out".

IMO the change to a 433 with the 2x #8s playing higher in support of the front3, has seen KT sitting deeper and as a result he's less likely to have players running at him on the ball on the counter.

Also seeing talk of RM interest and a 50m offer supposedly in the works.
IIRC there was similar talk around the Jan transfer window and we were being linked to a couple of LB options.

Formwtion or otherwise, to be one of only 3 players to be dribbled less than 10 times having started more than 20 games this season is no easy feat. Evem more so when his nearest rival for that less than 10 dribbled past stat has been driblled past 8 time more.

Would be weird to buy a backup for 50m. Usually when they pay that kind of money it's on players who are meant to start, even though it doesn't always turn out that way.

I think that stat is a little deceptive. Usually how KT gets done is not players dribbling past him but by them being able to shrug him off to deliver a good cross.

I think we can pretty much assume that this guy is a permacrock. We need a new player, let RM have him.

Tavares is an interesting player but is so raw he's completely unreliable in clucth matches.

On the other hand we fell apart completely without him. The idea that someone will pay £50m for him us pure fantasy so forget that too.

I think we should just upgrade Tavares, maybe see if he can get a loan to increase his value and then sell. We need to get another player around Tierneys level and rotate. We'll have European football next season, if its CL this becomes even more of a priority. Same needs to happen at RB though Cedric is a better player than Tavares.

Not really a fan of his style but he looks to be getting that vital burst back.

He'll be a hell of an asset if he can get his head around inverting and playing into midfield when needed. It's by no means a natural fit, but I think every game, he's getting better and better. That he still has the ability to burst down the line will give his game some variation too.

I hope he starts vs Spurs. His pace on the cover and ability 1v1 is a real asset
