Aye I did almost put a disclaimer but I was curious about how people would find it! Si Ferry, the presenter, has a voice/accent which grates on me. They’re all ex footballers, never made it, so it’s usually a good laugh and a bit more behind the scenes chat than you’d get from a lot of podcasts.

Listening to it at the moment. Admit it's a little tough going when you're not that used to these accents. Definitely had to skip that first 10 minutes. 😆

Ah, so it's leaving Scotland that's the problem. That explains the inconsistency regarding Mane at least. We had similar rules in Norway actually, not sure if they're changed yet or not.

Edit: There are apparently exceptions from rules for various occupations. I reckon football player is one of them.

Close contact here is defined as closer than 1 meter for longer than 15 minutes.

Disappointing day yesterday, but I thought this guy was bloody excellent. Everything you could want from a fullback. What a player!

One of the few players leaving it all out there, and also creating chances. However, I'm getting worried about the combo play between him and Saka, it's all become very stifled and one dimensional. Think they're actually playing a little too close, and would be better suited an additional 5-10 yard apart (Saka narrower, Tierney wider).

Yeah totally agree. Tierney is starting to turn back toward the midfield too much now due to it. Its a bit annoying as he gets in good positions on the overlap and then there is no one there for him. I'm wondering if we should go back to Auba left with Saka at 10 and Laca up top. Then replace Laca with a real CF as soon as we can.

They're either too close or too far apart. Saka sometimes makes run that is honestly impossible to pick out. They haven't worked out how to work an overlap etc. They need time to form a partnership I guess.

I don't think Tierney and Auba worked either. Martinelli on the other hand linked brilliantly with both Tierney and Saka.

I just love him. Love his drive, love the urgency he plays with regardless of the time, moment or situation of the game. His goal today was world class. His penalty against Chelsea got us going too. He takes responsibility. Possibly one of the only ones in the squad. Top player.

Looked like a top player from the very beginning.
One of of our most consistent players. And now he looks a little more confident on attack. The better movement, and the team throwing more bodies in the box will only help showcase his attacking talents.

Both the penalty against Chelsea and the goal today came from doing a feint cross and moving to his right. The player with the ball almost always crosses in those situations, and so the defenders always anticipate it. Could be a big weapon for us that he can go both ways.
