Well Tierney's contributing more from LB then Nelson and Pepe ever have - combined. Wouldn't say it's shoehorning either, since he's already playing high up on the left, it would just be that he can conserve more of his energy for attacking. I'm sure the stats back it up (there were a few floating around yesterday) he's been one of our best attackers this season, and he's a defender
If it works then we have less worries about buying an attacker (not none) and we can find a new top LB which would probably cost half the price of a top winger.
All hypothetical as it's not worth thinking about before giving him a go there.
