Wijnaldum has been unreal for club and country, so deserves to be picked ahead of Keita. And nobody is getting in ahead of that boy Fabinho.

Keita covered similar amounts of ground, Leipzig play a very distinctive aggressive type of press themselves. Haven't seen a single Keita performance at Liverpool on that level though so yeah clearly Wijnaldum deserves his berth

Not sure what happened to Keita. I was probably the only one who liked his game whenever everyone was saying Seri is better. He surely is better than his minutes at Liverpool suggest. Just not the right fit.

When was this? Because most were lukewarm on Seri while pretty much everyone were really jealous when Liverpool announced their early signing of Keita.

Quincy is right, we were jealous about Keita but more of Fabinho but there were still people who thought Liverpool were bang average in a few posts there.

I'm hoping Tet can do for Pepe what he did for Sterling. It'll probably be through his assistant, but the lad just needs a few fixes. He presents the same tactical problems as Sanchez but unlike the latter he's still fairly young and the bad habits can be ironed out.

Coming from the French league, the pace and intensity he’s experienced in the PL must have been a shock for Pepe. Not every player can adapt quickly, so it’s harsh to write him off already. I remember Pires took nearly a whole season to get to grips with the physicality in the English game; hopefully Pepe will too. Arteta is probably the best thing that could happen to him, considering the work he’s done on similar players to Pepe at City.

It's a little worrying for me with Pepe. He hasn't come in at the best time to help him settle so that is a tough environment.

Having not seem him in the French league and just looking at what I've seen so far he doesn't look like a potential top tier player right now. He looks a bit limited at the moment in what he offers.

It is still early but he will need to start showing some more soon or it'll be very difficult for him to make it longer term.

Struggling a little with the contact of the English game, but since Freddie/Arteta he's started to rack up minutes. He's showcasing himself in flashes, and getting a shot towards goal every game and hope it continues to build from there. So far I'm not sure he's been better than Mkhitaryan's last season.

He was our most creative player under Emery before he was dropped.

We've won 4 games or whatever in the last few months and he's played a role in all of them. Even last night he started the move that got the goal. He was key against United, key against West Ham and he saved us in the Europa match. He's got some rough edges but the guys a game changer and one of those players that wants to get forward and make things happen. We need that, you look at Reiss-Nelson and its exactly what he needs in his game for instance. We need more bravery in attack, players who aren't afraid to fuck up. You need a bit of risk in your game as a forward.

Was worried intially but now I think he'll be fine. Maybe not this season but by next - he's got the ability, whether he'll be a world beater is up to him

I think he'll have a good next season too. Hopefully there will be a bit of a new class signing effect after he gets a full preseason.

There's still plenty of work to be done this season though and I think he looks much better equipped physically to contribute now. He's still hitting those annoying loose passes up the field but he doesn't get dispossessed as much when he dribbles. Like Qwiss I've felt that a lot of our good moments lately have involved him in some way.

Much of what bothers me now is decision-making, and that will come. He's used to dribling four players in a row, but will have to find out that he'll lose the ball if he runs into the fourth one. He does always try to make something happen though, and no matter if he fails he never hides.

I agree. But it's also on the team to design ways to isolate him with the full back more. He's definitely building some form though, seems more confident.
