I’m fuming at our plight versus Liverpool’s ascent. It goes back to Anzac’s oft-mentioned point about how we weren’t maximizing our cash flow between 2010 and 2015. We just didn’t stretch ourselves enough in those days and allowed ourselves to sink into the abyss of irrelevance. We are a lot better now, but there’s still a gap with elite traders.
we've used our funds poorly ever since the ozil purchase. we needed a striker and boss centre mid more than anything in that window. we've danced around fixing the problems in the squad for 5 years, and when we eventually made moves it was a day late and a buck short. you could argue we're still paying for those mistakes now, as we're still sitting here half in the bag with expensive mistakes/panic buys from the late wenger era. during that time we've watched various clubs leapfrog us by making what seem to be perfectly sensible, proactive decisions
