I'm more deflated now than yesterday tbh. I think it's because most have accepted that we're done for until a new manager is in place, while we hadn't given up on City yet.

He has lost sharpness but is still much better than Jesus.
I blame Pepe for dropping him randomly as he is built like Mane who never gets dropped when fit.

A properly elite striker would definitely take them up a level. Sterling is by so far their best player and has been for a while.

They need DEFENDERS though. It was a big mistake to put their money into Laporte: good player and potentially a very good one, but has always been prone to picking up injuries. Persisting with Stones and Otamendi and not signing van Dijk when he was there for the taking will be the end of Guardiola at City. I'm not saying they'll sack him, but Liverpool have his number and are in their prime, he's not going to stick around and try and rebuild them to become serious Champions League contenders.

I was saying to someone earlier, that they should just use tech for this. A computer can map the human body and review these decisions. If a ball hits an arm, penalty. How hard can it be to automate this? What’s the point of VAR if it’s just going to be another crazy person. I’d rather a biased computer than we can keep de-biasing with updates over time.
