I know. I was very bitter at the time. I knew Pep was a long shot given our pauper’s budget. But Klopp was used to small budgets at Dortmund. Even in the absence of a DoF, he would’ve come with a clearly defined football style and helped dictate transfers. After that we were condemned to a choice of guys like Emery or Arteta.
