I agree with Ricky because Klopp is the one manager Guardiola has a losing record against which has led to him changing tactics which, IMO, weaken his team.

Over the season, as Ricky acknowledged, it's a different matter as City's squad depth steamrolls all riffraff with proof being their winning of the league without their best player, De Bruyne.

I think city's first XI is better too. Their midfield so much better than Liverpool.

BTW Spurs are nothing special. As I said in the other thread they won't pull away from us and united.

Also without Eriksen their midfield is very overrated.

Man City remind me a lot of Wengers Arsenal 2008-2011. Lack a bit of physicality, with the main difference being the depth in City’s side and the players being in their peak. Also Pep is a lot more ruthless and accepts nothing less than winning in comparison to Wenger.

Their midfield is attacking. Liverpools is defensive covering for the flying fullbacks.
Switching them round would weaken both teams, imo.

Man City basically have two full first teams. They can get injuries and still make it thru as champions. Liverpool are an injury or two away from a drop in quality. They gave origi as backup...

Man City should comfortably win it this year, barring a crisis or guardiola screw up. If anything they could struggle if they make it thru to late stages of other competitions. Even as I say that, they have the freaking players to play every other day so I'm not overly convinced it will hurt them. They're a machine of a squad...

Again, that's faulty reasoning when trying to determine the quality of a team. The points total over a season tells you about the quality of the squad.

Nah, definitely won't agree with that. It's Pep ffs and he has all the best players in his disposal. Those olden teams have plenty of weaknesses and this City team is drilled to a tee they will break those teams easily. He's a tactical freak.

Ndombele saved Spurs previously, hope this time round they won't fluke another win. Bruce deserves a result here, his game plan is great so far.

Nah. I mean the pattern in the first half wasn’t too dissimilar but Liverpool played at a much higher tempo so we had to work a lot harder to contain them. We were always going to tire. Newcastle may as well be on sun loungers.

Why doesn't he use that freak tactical ability and all the best players to beat good teams, albeit with plenty of weaknesses of their own, in the Champions League?
