Yeah, but you know what I meant. The gap is going to widen between us in the league, not close up.

Anyway, I think it's crazy not to wish that Ole is staying. They've basically done as well as us since Arteta was hired, and they've done much better points wise since the Fernandes signing than before, they would've been much worse if he had the same restrictions Arteta has had. If Arteta doesn't improve our point average from now until March 2021 I don't think fans of other teams will want Arteta to be fired either.

United had a similar summer to us all things considered. Signed an £80 million dud, star players malfunctioning, and since then they've had to focus on getting youth players through.

Like I said, I don't even think Ole is good, but he's done better than both people who have managed Arsenal for any prolonged time this season, low as that bar might be. There's a tendency to overrate everything that concerns Arsenal. If he had been knocked out against Olympiakos and then managed 8 shots against West Ham you all would have laughed, and rightly so.

Ole has a good record against big teams, it's the smaller/mid table teams where he has been dropping points. If he can fix that, and adds consistency there, then I would start to get worried.

You didn't say he's good, but you implied that we shouldn't want him to stay. I don't think anyone on here would be happy if Arteta didn't do better points wise a year from now than he's done so far. And that's where Ole is now. He's been at United since late 2018 and he's doing as good/bad as Arteta is doing at the moment. I'd want Arteta gone if Arsenal aren't better a year from now than they are now. That means I'd want Ole gone if he was Arsenal's manager, which means I want him to stay when he's United's.

You didn't say he's good, but you implied that we shouldn't want him to stay.

No, I wondered why people were delighted that he'd stay for the remainder of the season when he's doing better than us currently. Next season is a different matter, but why would anyone be delighted that someone who has United playing better and winning more than us is staying with them for the next ten games?

United's football was an embarrassment yesterday. Did you watch the game? They played with 6 defenders pretty much the entire match and the only reason it worked is because City were abject in front of goal and Ederson had a betting syndicate to keep happy.

If Arteta is serving that shit up a year from now then I'll be shouting for him to go as loud as anyone.

Cmon mate. They for sure could be a whole world better. They could have signed Poch or any other top coach.
Also, their team does seem to only know how to counterattack. That is a pretty bad balance considering the time OGS has been there.

Because he's a bad manager, I'd be impressed if they found someone worse and because even if we lose to City, which we likely will, they've still only outperformed us by one point since Arteta was hired. I don't think that's enough in a small amount of matches to let that decide for me whether I want Ole to stay or go.

Since Arteta has taken over we've picked up 17 points in 10 games. Ole has 17 points from his last 10 games, so he's not really doing better results wise. Performances may be better, but then that's bound to be the case when you spend £70m on a midfielder half way through the season.

Solskjaer is absolutely clueless as a manager. Whether Arteta is good enough for this level is unclear still and an entirely different matter, OGS most definitely isn't.

Remember the praises that were sung about Norwich like four or five months ago, after they beat City plenty thought they'd be the surprise of the season. Shows how much confidence can do for a team

Best case scenario: PL 19/20 is void. Liverpool don't win the title. Last seasons positions are considered going forward, Man city get CL ban, Arsenal get CL football as we finished 5th last season.
