Looking at the bigger picture, perhaps them getting the Champions League means they keep Solksjaer and don't get Pochetinno in the summer.

I'd take that all day.

Mind you, this United team could lose 3 in a row to anyone oit of nowhere so a long way to go.

If they can get their targets this summer, even with OGS at the helm, they will comfortably be ahead of us in the table next season .

Jesus was outstanding when he came on I thought. Also Foden was like playing with 10 men, Silva can't fail to be better. And then there's De Bruyne and Mahrez.

Reality is Chelsea and United are just that bit better then us this season whilst still being pretty awful themselves. Spurs are certainly matching us in the crapness stakes for sure. We have been poor throughout this season including recently and that's what we are at the moment. Given we are coming from behind the likelyhood of us stringing a near perfect run together and all our opponents dropping points at the same time is unlikely.

I know our progress has been been slow under Arteta but we did stick with Emery for a little longer than we should have. That ultimately might be the difference.

Yep. We really should have sacked him right before the international break. But of course we like to do it the hard way.

Although I know at that time there are still inexplicably some fans here who think Emery should be given more time, but as a board they shouldn't be as stupid and needed to be decisive to move. What a season wasted.

The executives we have are clueless. It's why I don't trust their appointments in any way or recruitment and ultimately they are going to be overseeing everything we will have to do in order to improve.

With Uniteds resources he should be way ahead of us. If we'd dropped €80m during the window we'd probably be ahead of them by now too.

I dunno, we dropped a lot more than that in the summer window and all we got was our worst start to a season since World War 2 or whatever it was.

I don't think Solskjaer is brilliant or even particularly good, but he's doing better than Emery did and Arteta is right now.

Yep, they are clearly underperforming if you take into account the absurd amount of money they have spent.

ManU is an erratic team. There seems to be no way to improve but to sack OGS and then this guy pulls out a good result, saving his ass. That has happened at least 3 times this season 😆 😆

Long may whatever Solksjaer is doing at Old Trafford continue. People forget they were a bullshit VAR decision away from losing to Everton last week, a team we beat and dodgy Chelsea dismantled yesterday.

Even if they scrape top 4, no serious player is going to play there; not if a single other proper top club wants them. Pogba will go, that's the worst kept secret in football, he's their best player by so far.

Let's worry about us because there's nothing to worry about there. If we can get in some quality midfielders to bring some balance to the squad then we'll rocket pass them next season whatever happens in the remainder of this.

They have one more point than us since Arteta was appointed and they've played one more game. Hardly something to write home about.
