Absolutely mate.
I will wait a bit longer to say for definite, but some people are acting as though there is some grand plan, that the rest of us aren’t seeing.
There is nothing there, other than passing out of the back.
I actually agree with Emery on passing out the ball from the back, the problem he is and will be let down from Mustafi and co.
The this is the second preseason Emery has had, so you would have thought that a basic pattern and structure would be there.
I can’t see it, but for those who can, please share exactly what it is you see.
Tell me what you think you see any team do. It's a totally nonsense demand. Emery plays with hard running CMs, a B2B-style AM, and technical wingers who act as inside forwards to allow the FBs to overlap. It isn't fuckin rocket science.
For starters, what you have described, did not take place in many games.
Many games were played with CMs, and NO AM. With three up top.
Overlapping FB’s do not function in the same way as wingbacks (which we play a lot) do.
That is just for starters.
You can micro manage the details of a players role, but when the formation changes from one game to the next, is the role the same? Come on
Overall he has been let down by players, absolutely, but let us be honest, if by halfway through this season we still haven’t found an ideal solution, that is on Emery.
