"Emery is a dud" is not discussion. It's nonsense. Likewise demands like "tell me exactly what Emery does" as if the burden of proof is only on people who use their hands and brains instead of their assholes to type.
I'm personally pretty interested in the Emery midfield this year. I feel like he wants to be able to invert the triangle with any combination he puts out. A 442 in defense, push up the FBs in a 433 in early build up with a passing CM dropping between the CBs and the wingers staying wide, and a 4231 in the attacking third with FBs flying past the now inverted wingers.
I just hate the 3cb formation no matter who plays it. I understand why we've played it, but if we strengthen the defense this summer and he stills reverts to it on a regular basis, I'll be very disappointed.
