Local NRL & AFL clubs cannot stay out of the headlines for such behaviour.

IIRC Benzema is going to trial for being involved in an attempted blackmail of another player who was a team mate at the WC, and was previously charged in having sex with a minor.

Just want to point out that Saliba is playing CBL for Nice, and I wonder if this has anything to do with his lack of playing opportunities with us, and if it has any potential ramifications for his future with us = he may not be the right sided CB we require.

He will be fine. When he first arrived, he was central in a back 3. Then Todibo arrived and, I believe, from the St Etienbe game onwards he went left in a back 2. Speaking of St Etienne, he played right in a back 3. So hes flexible. His team lost again on weekend but another decent game. He has to come back. I’m not sure why we are linked to defenders

a lot of rumour-mongering goes by tbh. Mirror just makes stuff up, sees 1+1 and makes 4.

Seen a bit of his games of late. I just don’t think he’s all that good. Looks clumsy with mistakes a plenty in him.

That's what I see too, dula. Doesn't mean that he shouldn't have been in the EL squad, mind, but I'm glad he's getting games on loan now. Hopefully he can iron out his game with time.

i wouldn't rush to judgement on any CB at 20. even the best defensive prodigys take a long time to come good. upamecano is still full of rickets, but bayern were willing to blow 42m on him, which is a fair chunk of cash for them. stones looked a busted flush at 22/23 but is still adding value to city years later. deligt struggled through his first season at Juve, and he's probably the premier defensive talent of his generation. most of the new guys aren't trained to be as defensively savvy

we got in on the ground floor with saliba. we should stick it out with him, providing he still wants to make it at the club ofcourse

Yea that last bit is a strange one for Arsenal. If you stick around at Bayern, City, or Juve you're likely to pick up trophies and potentially contribute to a title-winning season at some stage. At Arsenal, you're left wondering if it's worth working your way up.

aye. he no doubt chose us because he was promised minutes, and looking at the competition he had at the club, saw a fast track in the first team. with how things have shaken out, he might be thinking he'd rather have stayed put, or just rode the pine at a title hunting club for a couple of years, rather than the odd purgatory he's currently in. we'll see what happens with him in the summer

He's a kid who'd been out a year. Hardly any experience. It's obvious he is gonna arrive with a lot to learn. Fans reactions were mental.

The issue isn't falling out with these guys for me the issue is the previous softness towards then that they think they can do what they want. Douzi was going to keeping doing stupid shit we should have got rid of him after 6 months and not wasted all that time trying to develop him. Keeping the grade A idiots around is the worst possible action. Douzi is a good example if they're to thick to listen just get rid.

Who are these numerous players we are having spats with? The Saliba situation is well covered and is a massive fuck up. But other than that? Guendouzi is a known nut job who has fallen out with 2 French clubs and now a German club. He’s Balotelli / Rabiot / Anelka type head case.

Laporte is on citys bench keeping his mouth shut. And we have saliba moan in press every 5 minutes after he funked his loan move up. He clearly had a few things to work on in training but decided to make a huge deal with the manager after 2 preseason games. Rather than work on those things to get in the side.

We didn't register him for Europe because he wanted a loan and we'd agreed one.

If we had him for 4 years and never game him a chance I'd get it. But I've honestly no idea what people think this kid is entitled to.

Yeah. I just think the Saliba thing is a stick to beat Arteta and Edu with. He can do one. Needs to have a good season with Nice and then come back and fight Holding for a spot

Laporte just came back from injuries and is behind Dias and Stones on merit. Of course he has no reason to suddenly make a fuss at one of the best clubs in the world under a top coach.

If starting every game is key importance to him then he should have stayed in france longer. He took the big pay bump signing for us. But when you move to a bigger club your going to have to face some competiton.It comes with the big wages. To arrive at 19 and think holding, Luiz, Mari ect should be instantly dropped to the bench before you show anything is the real sign of a privilaged kid that has been handed everything with his talent and doesnt expect to have to work for it.

Saliba, Douzi, AMN, Balogun. You can dismiss them all as whatever pejorative you feel like assigning to them but its not something we've seen happen so frequently at Arsenal before with young players.

He didn't clearly do anything. You are just making up stories in your own head. And on top of it you're blaming him for the clubs fuck up sorting his loan.
