This will be unpopular in certain quarters, but what I’ve seen of this guy makes me feel like this is the long term upgrade on Ramsey I would want. Better defines the position for me. I’m hoping that Real are just struggling to define a price for him and both he and Real would leave the door open to a permanent transfer. The first step is having him at the Emirates though

i mean, the precedent was set last year with kovacic. i dont think chelsea had the option to buy when that loan was sealed, but he liked it at chelsea and they wanted him, so they worked out a deal. all we need to do is convince him that he'll be jerked around at madrid or replaced with a "bigger name" and surely he'd push to stay here, assuming he gets on well with the team and we finish top 4

Happy with this deal, even if it might take him a minute to acclimadapt. There was a cavern between our strikers and midfield last season at the best of times. We need someone to provide some oil to all the clanking parts in there

Absolutely. He will love it. He'll realise pretty quickly what a massive club we are when he gets here. Thousands and thousands of away fans singing some great song they've made up for him in some rain smashed northern wasteland of a stadium.

Seriously. Very good chance he stays if it works out, I reckon. Pogba will probably be turning up at the Bernabeu in a few weeks as well just to make the decision next summer easier.

He most definitely is aggressive and a pest without the ball. He would've been the perfect match for Barcelona anno 2012, impossible to get the ball off and a real nuisance without it

Seriously watch this video, I dont think people realise how absurdly gifted this kid is. Clrnc and I have been frothing at the mouth for years about him, the chasm in natural ability as a football player between him and the rest of our midfield is a fucking joke 😆

This quality is what we’ve been crying for, which the characters we’ve been sticking in there just don’t have. Ability to carry the ball and pass sweetly. I’m really looking forward to this guy on our squad.

I like that he plays the whole breadth of the middle third. Can drop deep to pick the ball up off the back 4 if we're being squeezed, or can receive the ball between the lines and drive into the opponent. Mkhifloptryan is supposed to have offered alot of this

Bring Back Kerrea Gilbert

Never watched him but I'm delighted. Even if it's just one season, this gives us tier one quality in midfield for the first time in years. Would also give us another season to try to identify a permanent signing for next summer but I'm hopeful it will be this guy.

Hopefully we get in a centre back.
