he's so limited on the ball though, and the players in the wide positions are frequently tasked with tight manoeuvring and having to beat 1 or 2 guys in order to create space. if we were a team that actively looked for runs in behind and were instructed to feed the ball forward early, yes I could see him in that salah/mane/ronaldo advanced winger position, but we don't play like that

If you put him up top he's not going to get the ball. Thats whats happened whenever he's been put up there and its pretty much what happens to whoever plays CF for us. I'd rather Auba there now and Eddie in January, they're more natural CFs and do better when living off scraps.

I still think we should look for a PL loan at the end of January for him. He's the sort of player who could make a big difference to a relegation battler. Or a team like Brighton who struggle for goals could use him too (although they may be too close for comfort with a loan like that).

With a CF that has a bit more about his game than Auba, he could really form a devastating partnership.. still early days for him and needs to make every minute that he gets count.

Love his fucking attitude.

Mentioned it above. Having a focal point that can bring others into play well is going to really be good for him.. With the likes of him and ESR, definitely want our next CF signing to be of that type.

From that list I would say David and Jovic are probably the most attainable.
Alvarez will have the Spanish clubs after him, seen Barca linked.
Scamacca may not want to leave Italy
Vlahovic will cost big bucks
Isak will cost a lot too.
Adeyemi looks likely to go Dortmund.

DCL I don't think is good enough , and Martial seems a lazy player maybe he is at the wrong club.

feels like he's back on the path he started in his breakthrough season. his confidence clearly took a hit from the injuries and lack of playing time, but you can tell he's got his legs back under him

Getting back to his best. If he can stay fit and fulfill the potential we saw in his first few games with us, he’ll have a massive career.

I didn't realise he's a year younger than ESR. Him breaking through seems like ages ago, so I thought he'd be a bit older than he actually is.

So glad he seems to be over his injury. That burst of confidence he got after scoring that brilliant goal shows there's so much more to come from him.

Talking about that goal- fantastic. For me the most enjoyable type of goals. Perfect weight and angle on the through pass, brilliant run, perfect touch, clinical finish- what's not to like? I prefer them even to the 20-pass razzle-dazzle moves.

Those type of goals have been too few and far between, est. That is the sort of attacking football and threat that we should be creating consistently all game. Right through the center, and not mostly through the wings. Also Laca shouldn’t be the one creating those chances, although I don’t mind that he was able to make that through pass. It should be mainly Odegaard’s/ creative midfielder’s portfolio.

In the past two games I've been begging for the ball to be passed to him. It's a long while since I've felt that way about one of our attackers. I love Saka, but this kid has an x-factor that even he doesn't have.
