That's £150-180 million on two players though, and that's provided they'll even come here which I doubt. If their clubs were open to sales they would get better offers than Arsenal. We haven't been a top four club since the summer of 2016. Money's drying up now. I don't think we're going to see any more Pepé-like transfers for a while.
We do need some experience, but our main issue is still that we have to find these players earlier and cheaper, like we did with Martinelli. I mentioned Buendia in the transfer section a while back. He is 23 just like Maddison, has better stats across the board (goals excepted), has been one of the 5-10 most creative players in Europe's top five leagues so far in 19/20, is a great dribbler, and he plays for Norwich who'll go back into the Championship in May. I reckon that's the sort of player we should take a punt on.
