Never wanted anyone less at my football club than this guy.

I WhatsApp’ed my friend who is a massive Porto fan, season ticket holder. This is what he had to say about Brahimi (after I asked him if he is any good):

“Yo my man, Brahimi, Algerian boy, winger that likes to run to the inside of the box for a shot at goal

He is technically good, and when he is on form he will score a few bangers the worse thing about him is that his blood boils very quickly and doesn’t know when to let go of the ball

He sometimes will rather try to score and lose the ball when he could have assisted someone who was in a much better position”.

Mediocre playmaker, but probably a marginal improvement on mkhitaryan if that's who he'd replace

This would be the official we’ve switched places with Spurs signing if we were actually interested

One 30 year old for another. Would be classic Arsenal transfer business.

We are so Europa league

Agent talk. Hopefully.

Never heard of him, never seen him play.

Sky Sports understand #AFC are in talks with Barhimi over a free transfer. That said, personal terms yet to be agreed.
West Ham were in talks with Brahimi last month according to reports. He demanded a 6m euros signing on fee and a three-year contract that is worth 14m euros which would keep him at the club till he is 32yo with very little (if any) sell-on value.

Looks like we're trying to cheap out on a winger. Even if the talks hopefully break down, it doesn't augur well for the calibre of winger we're targeting

He was interesting as a player 4 years ago, many here preferred him over Feghouli when we were linked.

........ typical arsenal these days: linked with zaha, end up the has-been brahimi. was he even a "been" to begin with?

i don't rate zaha tooo highly too, makes it even sadder....

But have you got any solutions to how we'd finance more expensive players?

I have no opinion on Brahimi specifically but can understand the logic, particularly given the struggles we're having on agreeing fees for some of our primary targets (eg. Tierney).

Has anyone seen him play?

Boring free transfer aside if he can play he is prob better than what we have on the wing at the moment (Iwobi, Mhki).
