As Arsenal's unoffical mouthpiece, I'm confused as to why Ornstein is reporting this. There's no way he'd risk pissing off Arsenal and losing his exclusives. And just the other day he said personal terms with Tierney were agreed.

You would expect this story to come from one of Celtic's trusted journalists. Especially as this Thursday is the cut off for registering players for their huge Champions League qualifier next week, and they're in negotiations for two new left backs as we speak . . .

As much as Tierney looks a great prospect, if Celtic aren't going to be reasonable then we should just look elsewhere. Too much to do to mess around with a small time club wanting to act like Billy Big Bollocks. Either take the deal offered and sign your new players or fuck off.

Every other club has no issues buying who they want. I am fed up of Arsenal during every transfer window.

Agree are in a desperate position because of the poor way we managed ourselves as a club and recruited. As a result we need to improve the squad and that will cost us. We have to just get deals done even if not happy with the price otherwise we'll fall into the same trap as the last few seasons or poor recruitment.

Scott Marshall a year or so after Dickov.

Daily Record saying Napoli are expected to bid, and that Celtic have all but wrapped up a left back. Generally the Record is quite good but this article is quoting Italian and Austrian sources so doesn't appear to be anything that has come out the Celtic camp.

Tbh, looking at how Ornstein is reporting stuff nowdays, then its clear his style has changed. His source was Gazidis directly, for sure, and he is not getting the same treatment from Raul.

However, Sky Austria is reporting that Celtic are signing Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo from Rapid Wien, who is a left-back.

Was translating the Italian Napoli board and their fans seem confident this will be done as they are willing to match Celtic's 20m+ addons valuation.

Definitely. Even with the Zaha news, much of that is coming from the Palace perspective rather than the Arsenal perspective.

Still need the player to agree and I don't think he's keen.

Napoli has multiple left-backs in their disposal anyway. That link is bs.

Almost certain that ornstein has no contact left at the club and is doing the standard journalist routine now.

As weird as it seems, balague appears to be our man now...

Need to get this one over the line, can't be sweating £5 - 7m here.

Just pay up, and then reassess our approach and budget for our other targets.

I'm good, mate. Not really all that invested in arsenal at the moment, so not around as much. Have passed my season ticket sideways and have no real interest in our transfer dealings. Emery is the last straw and has killed it.

Got too many other interests which I'd rather focus on.

7m is over 15% of our entire budget if the moled rat is to be believed. Why do we "need to get this over the line" so quickly if it means jeopardising other targets because there's no more money left?

Yep, he was reliable about 10 years ago broke the Arshavin story

I’d argue we’re jeopardizing his transfer, which seems reasonably priced and for a position in need, by trying to save money for less tangible transfers (Saliba/Zaha). “One in the bag....” approach for me here now as I don’t trust us to find other LB alternatives.

Jesus, can you stop just simply saying that someone has tweeted something? 😆 If you don't know how to embed tweets, at least tell what they've said.

Basically just tweeted his name with a handshake.

He used to get odd bits right, then completely ruined himself one summer with a string of false claims and retired as a shamed fraud. It was hilarious. This is the first time in a long time he’s come out with some ITK news.

Yeah, i think he was somehow connected to the things in Colney, via a family member or smth (some also speculated he was connected via Jacky Wilsh) ... but he legit got shut down by the club at one point and he's been faking it ever since. Maybe now that Gazidis is done, he is once again a little bit forthcoming with the info.
