If he's as good as everyone says he is then he could probably be ready for us next summer. If he's good enough he's old enough, and the best ones are old enough very early. Varane went from Lens straight to Real Madrid and never missed a beat. I think it's good we're in early for Saliba, but it hinges on him being extraordinary of course.

Agree that it's hard to feel excited about him right now though when we're doing nothing to improve our chances this season. Wenger would have been lynched if he'd made a deal like this while ignoring the gaping holes in the starting eleven.

Walcott and Giroud have plenty of flaws but movement isn't one of them.

Giroud especially was great for Ozil. By far Ozils best season, the one where he broke the assists record, was largely by feeding Giroud and a lot of it was from set pieces.

You really believe that?
I don't as that was an Ozil before his back injury who hardly missed a game.
Put Giroud in the line-up now and drop Ozil for extended periods like Emery did last season and you are getting closer to 3 than anywhere near the record.

One skool of thought is that there will be a new fancied youngster this time next year

I'd imagine he'll quickly sign for spurs. Probably just holding out for a CL club if he believes he's elite.

Talk that we’re prepared to improve our offer and agree a two year loan

why not just a 5 year loan?

I hope Raul is not fulfilling sponsorship dates in America with the fire fighting required back here.
Baptism of fire for Edu.
Mislintat must be laughing his tits off, btw.

Anyways should be miss out on him go for Zagadou, Diablo, Gbamin, Upamecano - they essentially would raise the quality of our defence to the same level

Not sure I’d want the devil on our team but Diallo yes.
My question is why not both. Why not trot out Upamecano and Saliba? Ask Levy how he likes them apples

If Spurs really want him they will get him. How the tables have turned .

Yep it's a bit hard to accept a delayed signing like this when we have so many immediate needs.

nah, my sources are more reliable and they said our new offer is a 1 year loan with an option for st etienne to buy him back.

Things will not change until someone else takes over the entire club . What a shitster Kroenke turned out to be. We really are a laughing stock.

Long downward slide since he's come in. Clubs a mess.

y'all are worried about nothing. they are still tottnumb. finishing a point ahead of us doesn't change that. no french player is choosing to play for tottenham over arsenal.

reading this article on dick law, this quote pretty much hits home as to what's happening with saliba, right down to those cunts waiting until the arsenal execs left for america.

Another story that is often mentioned hand in hand with Law is the one surrounding the signing of Joel Campbell, who moved from Deportivo Saprissa in 2011.

Law travelled to Costa Rica to complete the deal, but ended up spending a week there before the transfer was finalised. At the time, there were rumours of missed meetings and even talks with the wrong agent.
“That story is so simple,” said Law. “Manchester United were being silly, they had no interest in Joel Campbell but they still tried to cut across the deal.
“I knew that if I left Costa Rica, they could just screw up the deal. So, I decided to stay there until we got it done.

Ffs, I didn't even know before now that Spurs were still in the race.
