Finished with football. Lord knows what the fans must have done to deserve all of this.

Pretty sure its karma for the sol Campbell transfer. We can take small comfort in the fact that transfer will never be topped

Because we will never again have a player of that level of quality for them to yoink?

Yes never again. The club will die and we'll all move on to cricket and curling

And then we'll sign the Sol Campbell of curling, and we'll all be laughing.

Well yeah

Petit, Campbell, lasagnagate. They have so much pain they need to make up for in the last couple of decades. They can have Saliba for all I care.

This seems overly pessimistic. I reckon Reiss Nelson has everything in his locker to be a true Tottenham Hotspur legend one day.

Tottenham have offered MORE than what St Etienne are asking for, that tells you all you need to know about how serious this is. Until we here more I'd still say we're likely to be the ones to land him.

I think it's possible to have been an Arsenal player in the 2014-2017 period and still be a flop, but maybe that's just me.

We went from an average team to winning 3 trophies and 2 title challenges after his arrival. He immediately elevated the entire team and his teammates. I don't even like Ozil but some of the stuff I am reading...

As for Saliba, guys please remain graceful. Let them enjoy their time in the sun. We have held superiority over them for almost 50+ years.

This is Spurs with their foot on our neck. Don't think Levy isn't enough of a sad little small time cunt for that to be hyperbole. Listen to Dick Law talk about the Özil deal, for example, and Levy's ridiculous behaviour there.

This is Spurs trying to say; things have changed, we're top dogs, we have more money than you and we'll take a player off you as and when we want to.

This is about more than just Saliba now, if they come in at the eleventh hour and take him from us now, we're in big trouble.

This is also my read on this affair.

The player may just prefer to join us.

Also seeing reports that Spurs' bid above Saint Etienne's asking price is with no loan back for next season.

No way. This one has been done and dusted for a while, I would say.

If Saliba does choose Arsenal, it will be a huge blow to Tottenham.

If it had been done and dusted the papers would have been signed, and Saliba would have been announced already. We haven't closed the deal for whatever reason. It would be typical us to haggle over a few million and allow someone else to move in and hijack the transfer.

Walcott and Giroud have plenty of flaws but movement isn't one of them.

Giroud especially was great for Ozil. By far Ozils best season, the one where he broke the assists record, was largely by feeding Giroud and a lot of it was from set pieces.

Bet we’ve offered better wages. We tend to overlay on that front whilst spurs are stingey as can be

I'm finding it hard to give a shit if this happens or not.

If Tottenham manage to snatch this by one way or another none of our transfer team should stay beyond this July.

Some child who will be useful in 4-5 years.

Not excited to sign him in the least.
