Sorry for your loss Burnwinter and sincere condolences to the family of Jose Reyes. Life is indeed fleeting, a privilege to be grateful for. Puts sport in perspective.

Whats that?
Sadly enough I didn't watch him much at Arsenal but I did watch him during a Real Madrid match. Real Madrid were 0-1 down on the final day of the season and they needed a win to claim the title. They put Reyes on, and he scored two in the 3-1 win.

He was set to join Emery as a coach this summer.
Reyes goal against Middlesborough

He was speeding (verified by witnesses), lost control of his Ducati and hit a kerb. He incurred a brain injury on landing. Kid was brilliant. He was principal harpist in about a dozen Perth ensembles, a brilliant singer and composer, and his career as a doctor was developing fast. One of the most courageous people I ever met—he was always doing stuff like posting videos of him jumping off moving horses and that kind of thing. Anyway, bit of a long and personal reflection on another death much too young. No one should be dead before their time, and I'm sorry that Reyes has gone. People will remember him for his electric pace and his instant threatening running when he appeared at Arsenal from Spain. God we could use a player like him now.

I remember that game clearly, Capello was manager.

I don’t think this would have occurred.

Very sad, sorry to hear.
I dedicate a lot of time to activism for safety-oriented street design and such. The way cars/motorbikes and roads are designed gives people a false sense of security when speeding, even though they are in fact doing a very dangerous thing. This false perception of being in control causes an absurdly high amount of tragic deaths and injuries every year.

Some people. Dear god. He's leaving behind 3 young children and they think he deserved it because he was speeding or isn't worthy of people's sadness because he dived a bit at football. Only online.
Edit - you're right, a bit too heartbreaking. For the record: It was a video of Reyes returning home and greeting his kids last year after spending 2 months playing football in China. Shame the United fans didn't watch it before they posted.
Why post that vid man?
Didn't know that. Would have been nice to see him around the club again.

I saw the vid, it was heartbreaking and put things into perspective. In the same instagram account of his wife, they just celebrated their 8th year anniversary 5 days ago.
Fabregas was the closest to him back in those days
