As bad as it looks now, the finishing is better than it was 6 months ago, and he's doing a better job of getting into the danger zone. Kid is the real thing. In the autumn the talk was that Mariano had the greater composure.

Another crisis at Valencia as manager Albert Celades was sacked after a string of poor results and sporting director Cesar Sanchez has also resigned.

What a fucking shambles of a club Barca are right now, as soon as Messi retires they are gonna struggle bad with the way they are run. Sold Neymar for £220m yet have managed to waste over £300m on attacking players who don't fit their system (Dembelele, Griezmann & Coutinho).

I don't know if this is true but saw on Twitter a few days ago they've done some dodgy accounting on the sale of Arthur. Sold for over £70m in last years accounting year and then bought Pjanic for over £60m in this accounting year. Supposedly the management would have to personally cough up money if they lose a certain amount so have structured this deal to avoid that.

I'm not sure if it is about the years, but the minute I saw those inflated figures, I knew that they were both boosting player values to book profits on sales of assets.
It begs the question to what extent is Uefa able to make teams prove that they have fairly valued players when they do trades. Everything Barcelona does should be viewed with suspicion. They're like Trump, there's always a devious motive

Barca have always been one of the worst run clubs in the world, probably only matched by Chelsea in the past. They'll nearly go bust once Messi is done, and then they'll get bailed out just like their golden generation was in the 90s, they'll spend enormous money and win some more, rinse and repeat. It's their whole identity.

I imagine to very little extent when a player's value is essentially what the two clubs agree to buy/sell him for.
