He's been Betis best player whenever I've seen them. Not his fault the team's form has been wildly inconsistent.

He'd certainly bring more to the table than Özil.

I doubt it personally. Signing an underwhelming soon-to-be 27 year old with dodgy knees would probably prove to be as bad an idea as giving Özil that massive longterm contract. Aren't we allowed to aim higher than that?

I’ve never seen a more dissembling organization than Barcelona. They just announced that they are going to give up naming rights to Camp Nou and all proceeds go to charity for Camp Nou. Obviously, this is only for a year. Then they will immerse their snouts in the feeding trough. This is the same shot they pulled with their shirt deal and the Qatar Foundation, dully award that the biggest shirt deals in history lay beyond that. But they can mask it all in “more than a club” propaganda.

I just wish they admitted we are a mega club who have the biggest football contract in football, we pay agents under the table and exclude that from FFP, openly tap up players, and rip children from their homes for our famed Masia academy. Mes que un club? A mafia maybe. Cretins.
