You could run regressions on a number of attributes and determine to what extent these player valuations are outliers. But maybe the models are weak in the first place because Raul was busy distorting the market while at Barca. 😆

Sold Neymar for £220m yet have managed to waste over £300m on attacking players who don't fit their system (Dembelele, Griezmann & Coutinho). I don't know if this is true but saw on Twitter a few days ago they've done some dodgy accounting on the sale of Arthur. Sold for over £70m in last years accounting year and then bought Pjanic for over £60m in this accounting year. Supposedly the management would have to personally cough up money if they lose a certain amount so have structured this deal to avoid that. I'm not sure if it is about the years, but the minute I saw those inflated figures, I knew that they were both boosting player values to book profits on sales of assets. It begs the question to what extent is Uefa able to make teams prove that they have fairly valued players when they do trades. Everything Barcelona does should be viewed with suspicion. They're like Trump, there's always a devious motive

They did exactly the same thing last year with Neto and Cillessen. Balancing the books not really overly dodgy
This is why it is dodgy. If FairPlay cares about accounting profits, then inflating player values to achieve profitability appears dubious. Doesn’t seem “fair”.
Apparently Nike have been forced to recall their new Barca shirts because the colour fades when it comes into contact with sweat 😆 You'd think it would be the first thing they checked against: https://www.todayfm.com/sport/nike-withdraw-new-barcelona-jersey-sale-sweat-1040083
They've probably seen Barcelona play recently.

Poor timing 😆
The first is on some serious Captain Tsubasa shit
Suarez is in ridiculous form post covid. Scores some bloody good goals
Both of Griezmann and Suarez finishes are good, but the work done by Messi in setting them up is extraordinary. He’s a Martian.
Cazorla has played 30 games, with 8 goals and 8 assists.
Wtf, he was on the verge of having his foot amputated here.
Alexander Isak being a boss:

Did he learn that from uncle Ibra?
Ansu Fati pulls an Nketiah against Espanyol in the derby right now. Goes enthusiastically for a tackle and puts his studs into a defenders ankles. Dangerous stuff. The crows are down to 10 early in the second half at 0-0.
... and 3 minutes later the referee uses VAR to give the youngest Espanyol a similar red card. However, this Espanyol one might appear a tad harsh.
And Cazorla's scored two today. Penalties, but still.
Edit: Apparently that's now 24 G+A for him across all competitions this season.
Can't believe they were in a relegation fight before he joined and now they are challenging for Europe. Simply ridiculous
Didn't make a difference in the end, Barcelona actually relegated Espanyol 😆
Fuck me what a save. Martinez esque
Sweet strike!
Madrid win La Liga.
Hala Madrid!!!!
