I am sad for Brazil players. For them, representing the Seleçåo Canarinho at the World Cup is everything. Much more prestigious than playing for table toppign Arsenal. so they will be gutted.

Hopefully it will keep them motivated and hungry (although it's hard imagining that pair even more committed or dedicated!). They're still very young so will clearly be mainstays in the Brazil NT for years to come.

It was just a guess, not announced yet.

I don't expect Martinelli to make it, he is way behind in the pecking order. Other than the names mentioned, he is behind Rodrygo, Richarlison, Cunha and Pedro too.

Gabriel is in with a late shout but Tite prefers Bremer. Marquinhos, Thiago Silva and Militao spots are secured

Sorry I love Martinelli but he is no way better than Raphinha.

I’m planning to be in Dubai during 2nd week of WC so will try and catch a game or watch Arsenal AC Milan there.

Raphinha is extremely overrated for me, would much rather have Martinelli than him. Last season's Martinelli would be close but now that he's putting together the end product he showed under Emery and the positioning pressing and defensive nous from last season he's definitely ahead.

Surprised they'd not take him over a dud like Richarlison. It's not like he can't also play up top or even on the right.

Gabriel not going is also bizarre. I'd rather they go to be perfectly honest, would obviously mean the world to them and they'd still likely get a break anyway as back up players.

Martinelli I can understand with their left wingers but not taking Gabriel seems like madness. He must have underperformed when he's played for them.
