Love our new style. Really enjoy watching City play too. So good to see the simple things done well
Very true. Even something as simple a pass being played to a team mate's preferred foot is satisfying to see done well (Saliba is perfect at this btw). A consistent failure to do that, along with poorly weighted and timed passes, used to drive me nuts watching us, but now it's a real strong point for us. City are a level up from us, and Guardiola's Barca were a few levels up from that again. I found that Barca side mesmeric to watch, less so City, but that's because Guardiola isn't quite as much of a purist as he used to be, and City have nothing like the quality and attacking talent Barca had.
It's beautiful, technical, intelligent, demanding football, but it requires speed, incision and talent in the final third to be thrilling. We're getting there.
