They need to sell Bale. Pogba and Eriksen will hit them for 200 large. Bale and Isco will be the cornerstones of recouping that money.
Is Eriksen a great playmaker. If the assumption is that he will graduate and take over from Modric, is that good enough?
Other clubs transfer thread summer 2019 edition (Official: Madrid sign Hazard)
I think it would hit them for maybe 150, but maybe not. Eriksen is a very different kind of player than Modric is, so hard to compare. Modric in his prime was much better, Eriksen is probably the better player now. The latter has been underrated by us Arsenal supporters for a long time. I don't see how Pogba and Eriksen would work in a midfield trio though.
I don't see hiw they fit Pogba and Eriksen in the same team either. Pogba is clearly the one to get for them.

What's all this about? I can't seem to see anything specific about it. If there's a chance Madrid can get Neymar then they need to move heaven and earth.
Supposedly Mbappe is not a fan of all the Brazilians at the club.
Neymar is fucked. I don’t think Real will go for him, so really it is only Barca. Would they take him back after the way he left, and the words thrown around?
City could be a wild card, but I think Neymar would be too rich for them.
The best LW in the world is not fucked. If PSG wants to sell him he can go to whatever club he'd like.
The lovely thing for City, having a squad worth £1,1-1,2bn is that they can make moves. If they sell Sané for £60m and Gundogan for £40-50m, then, they’re well in range for making a play for Neymar in the £180-200m range with all their Champs League money. But knowing Pep and his desire to mould things, he would probably rather Mbappe or the cheaper, rawer Joao Felix

[size=small]“The players are going to have to assume their responsibilities even more than before. It has to be completely different. They will have to do more, work more… They are not here to have fun. And if they don’t agree with this point of view, the doors are open. Ciao! I no longer want to have superstar behaviour.”

a few french outlets have extrapolated that neymar is now on the sale block
People love to lay into Neymar but I dont think anyone at the club ever thought he was unprofessional. This sounds a lot more like it's aimed at the shisha gang at the club ie Kurzawa Rabiot or Mbappe at a stretch.
Paris St-Germain are willing to sell Brazil forward Neymar, 27. (L'Equipe - in French)
Alternatively, PSG will block any transfer for Neymar. (RMC Sport - in Spanish)
PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi has warned he no longer wants to see "celebrity behaviour" from his players. (France Football - in French)
Felix off to Atletico to replace Griezmann
120m release clause activated. Really brave signing there from Atleti.
United have another 50m bid rejected by Palace for Wan Bissaka.
Woop! Happy that Felix not coming to Premier League. The guy is a golden child. Would've hated to see Pep get his grubby hands on him.
Being out of the Champions League is really separating us from other clubs. Atletico are a small club relative to us. They have tons of stadium debt, so to spend all the Griezmann money is a real show of ambition
Curious about Felix at Atletico Madrid, seems really risky for both sides. He'll have to amp up his defensive work and replace Griezman, while for Atletico it's a huge investment for someone who has only one (fantastic) season on display.

He has only one fantastic season on display because he's still a kid. He's the biggest talent of his age in the world.
As I've said before, I'm surprised that Atletico is throwing around this kind of cash on an individual player. When they were linked with Lacazette I was dumbfounded. This is at least 70% more, but for a bigger talent. I guess they might argue that even at that price, he might still have value runway. And they have to appease fans post Griezmann, something that's never crossed our minds
Big coup for Atletico, but would he want to go there, he could literally pick any club to play for. He's going to be worth 200m+ in a year
The fee does not matter, that's a big coup for Atletico . They basically swapped Griezmann for Felix. Griezmann is not worth anywhere near that amount either.
No messing about.
Simeone really is the polar opposite of Wenger.
Apparently Mendes will pocket 30% of the fee - and he doesn't even represent the player
What a bloke, you almost have to admire how he has the game in a fucking chokehold. He pockets 36m despite having no ties to the player, and it's not even like he's facilitating a transfer Atletico are simply activating a clause ffs
After this CAS ruling, clubs could cut out that type of agent's fee but i'm guessing the agent's union may find a way of getting revenge on the player in future.

Shadow intermediaries. Getting spooky out there
One question I do have is whether the timing is right. He’s 19, going to a foreign country to replace the biggest star. That’s a lot of pressure. A similarly aged guy like Mbappe was at least going home to Paris, to a team with two star strikers. When I hear how much you say Mendes made, I suspect he pushed the kid into moving now while he had this hype. Hopefully, it’s the right move
Well, it's certainly not the first place I'd go as a young attacker. If it took €120m to get him he probably didn't have many clubs to choose from, but Atletico were awful offensively this season. Vietto, Lemar and Gelson are examples of young attacking players who all looked much worse than before when they went there. Obiously it has gone well for other players, they do have a reputation for hitting the jackpot when it comes to striker talents. I'm just not sure if they're that same club anymore.
Apparently Rodri has said his goodbyes to his team mates already. If he joins Man City that's the league wrapped up for the next five seasons
Talk at work of TH agreeing to a 60m deal with Lyon for Ndombele.
Rodri to City is irrelevant to us. It’s a matter to keep Klopp up at night.
Ndombele to Spurs is different. It takes them from an industrial midfield to real quality in the centre, and takes us from a four way battle for 3rd and 4th to a three-way battle to 4th with United and Chelsea.
Just to make matters worse there is also talk of Tielemens to MU ffs.
I’m not worried about anyone to United. They’re dysfunctional. We should sell them Xhaka and Ozil if we can

Likewise I'm not overly concerned by them, just would rather we signed him.

This seems like something that would have been easily avoided if lawyers knew of the previous case with Keita. It can’t be hard to include an additional clause that states the sell on fee should also apply to any proceeds that the club realises as a result of the player moving on, whether it is a fee from transfer, or money received due to a player moving as a result of activating his buyout clause.
Agents are a curse on the game.
Being reported that Man City have agreed to pay Rodri’s release clause, great signing for them.

Pep is playing a completely different game from the rest of us. I guess he replaces Kompany next and calls it a day. And we call it a day as well.
Thought the Rodri deal has been done long ago. Pretty much confirmed in April. Surprised they are paying so much to sign Marcos Llorente who is a Madrid die hard but not really used by them at all, in other words a fringe player for 50m euros. They must be the only 2 rival clubs who always sell to each other.

They are signing Cancelo and Angelino as well. Every 2 years he replaces his fullbacks.
Atlético should still need more midfielders.
Partey seems like he will leave as well.

Juventus ask the world for their players, then hoover up free transfers. Annoying. Although better than Rabiot going to either United or Liverpool.
These fuckers sign Ramsey AND Rabiot for free in one transfer window? We really are doing something wrong. We should almost just fold up shop. People are beating us with money, bargaining, scouting. Just what the fuck are we good at?
Claudius wrote:These fuckers sign Ramsey AND Rabiot for free in one transfer window? We really are doing something wrong.
Yes, well, we had one of those players but we told him to sod off.
Roma want €70m (£62.4m) for 19-year-old Italian midfielder Nicolo Zainiolo, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham. (Calciomercato)
Hope Sp*rs get him to replace Eriksen. Will be a huge step down and I don't really rate Zaniolo either.
Barca allegedly say £94m + £35m if Pool want the real Dembele
