That one Klaus yes. Good thing they got rid of Monchi who was clearly the reason for their current malaise

Jesus christ, the state of that club.

If they are we need to get in on this. He's not a finished product but I feel such a huge affection for the way he plays football.

West Ham finished 10th and Everton 8th. They're not exactly breathing down our necks.

I don't recall anyone saying they are, however they are making very good signings and improving every year. As Klaus said signing players who'd probably walk into our team.

Bayern Munich defender @matshummels is in advanced talks to make a return to Borussia Dortmund for €30m (£27m), according to Sky in Germany.

Turns 31 in December. Expensive.

We were linked houseboatly a few weeks ago. He looks like the right stuff

I don't think they want him to go, but he's losing patience being a back up

Clrnc wrote:

Wish we had appointed Pellegrini and his DOF instead. So many smart transfer for a club like WHU there.

That Jap kid is the real deal, I can't believe Barca let him leave

I agree Clrnc, that Japanese club Tokyo FC just said that they gave him an unorthodox contract so that he could sign in Europe for free when he was 18.

Barca apparently low balled the contract offer to him, only giving him a 2 year Barca B contract. In contrast, Real believes in his talent and gave him a 5 year first team contract that only forces to him play in Castilla for 1 year.

Pretty similar to that Jadon Sancho situation with City and Dortmund having more faith in his talent.

Small matter of Barca offering 250k and Madrid 2m contract.

I don't think either move is good for a 18 year old.

By and large such youngsters struggle to get game time.

Vinicius might be an exception but then they paid 40-50m for him.

Tentative links to kimpembe. He'll most likely be on the move if de ligt goes to psg

He's just come off his worst season but i think there's a good player in there

Smart kind of move we’d make 20 years ago. If we could fleece them, would be great.

Pogba to reporters in Tokyo. “I have in Manchester 3 years; some good moments and some bad moments, like everybody. I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else."

Ups. The sad thing is he might bring United around 150 mil, on top of what they have to spend, they are gonna buy a shit load of players.

Tanguy Ndombele on Tottenham: "They're a big club, finished fourth in their league, Champions League runners-up, which player wouldn't be interested in joining a big club?"

fucking hell

Juventus will move to sign Tottenham defender Kieran Trippier in a deal worth £30M should they lose Joao Cancelo to Manchester City.

Abramovich personally assures Lampard of ‘at least two seasons’ at Chelsea

Radio CRC: Napoli and Real Madrid have agreed on a 10M euro fee for the onerous loan of James, now the clubs are negotiating the buy option – RM is pushing for an automatic trigger at the end of loan for 40M, while Napoli offers 30M

Giovani Lo Celso prefers a move to #thfc over Manchester United after speaking to Mauricio Pochettino. The club has also been recommended by Real Betis fitness coach Marcos Alvarez who worked at Spurs under Juande Ramos.

Top players want to go to Spurs, sad world.

AS Roma president Pallotta is adamant regarding Manolas: he will only leave if a club pays the release clause in full. The player apparently agreed personal terms with Napoli [Gazzetta]

You would think more teams would be after Manolas.

United now after Issa Diop as well. Such a good powerful player , the kind we need.

That price being quoted for Trippier is even worse than the recognition they’re getting from top players.
I’m actually starting to envy the guys. They’re doing what we promised to do.

Spurs is an attractive proposition for players nowadays, new stadium, good manager and attractive football. If Ndombele goes there I'm so done.

That Ndombele quote is fake, in the interview he's much more reserved ("they're a big club like any other")

His thinking they are big is bad enough. Maybe the boy is dimwitted or uninformed. That’s how I will comfort myself

Aulus and levy will reach an impasse

Looks like neymar and/or mbappe will be sold. PSGs owner sounds fed up with the shenanigans

I wonder if Pep will make a plan. With Griezmann, Neymar, Mbappe, and Joao Felix all in play, I imagine he will insist on a star. City, Madrid, Barca and PSG can each end up with one.

It looks like Madrid will go for Pogba and Eriksen.

We need to be in for their scraps whoever they want to sell.

They need to sell Bale. Pogba and Eriksen will hit them for 200 large. Bale and Isco will be the cornerstones of recouping that money.
Is Eriksen a great playmaker. If the assumption is that he will graduate and take over from Modric, is that good enough?

I think it would hit them for maybe 150, but maybe not. Eriksen is a very different kind of player than Modric is, so hard to compare. Modric in his prime was much better, Eriksen is probably the better player now. The latter has been underrated by us Arsenal supporters for a long time. I don't see how Pogba and Eriksen would work in a midfield trio though.

I don't see hiw they fit Pogba and Eriksen in the same team either. Pogba is clearly the one to get for them.

What's all this about? I can't seem to see anything specific about it. If there's a chance Madrid can get Neymar then they need to move heaven and earth.

Supposedly Mbappe is not a fan of all the Brazilians at the club.

Neymar is fucked. I don’t think Real will go for him, so really it is only Barca. Would they take him back after the way he left, and the words thrown around?

City could be a wild card, but I think Neymar would be too rich for them.

The best LW in the world is not fucked. If PSG wants to sell him he can go to whatever club he'd like.

The lovely thing for City, having a squad worth £1,1-1,2bn is that they can make moves. If they sell Sané for £60m and Gundogan for £40-50m, then, they’re well in range for making a play for Neymar in the £180-200m range with all their Champs League money. But knowing Pep and his desire to mould things, he would probably rather Mbappe or the cheaper, rawer Joao Felix

[size=small]“The players are going to have to assume their responsibilities even more than before. It has to be completely different. They will have to do more, work more… They are not here to have fun. And if they don’t agree with this point of view, the doors are open. Ciao! I no longer want to have superstar behaviour.”

a few french outlets have extrapolated that neymar is now on the sale block

People love to lay into Neymar but I dont think anyone at the club ever thought he was unprofessional. This sounds a lot more like it's aimed at the shisha gang at the club ie Kurzawa Rabiot or Mbappe at a stretch.

Paris St-Germain are willing to sell Brazil forward Neymar, 27. (L'Equipe - in French)

Alternatively, PSG will block any transfer for Neymar. (RMC Sport - in Spanish)

PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi has warned he no longer wants to see "celebrity behaviour" from his players. (France Football - in French)

120m release clause activated. Really brave signing there from Atleti.

United have another 50m bid rejected by Palace for Wan Bissaka.

Woop! Happy that Felix not coming to Premier League. The guy is a golden child. Would've hated to see Pep get his grubby hands on him.
Being out of the Champions League is really separating us from other clubs. Atletico are a small club relative to us. They have tons of stadium debt, so to spend all the Griezmann money is a real show of ambition

Curious about Felix at Atletico Madrid, seems really risky for both sides. He'll have to amp up his defensive work and replace Griezman, while for Atletico it's a huge investment for someone who has only one (fantastic) season on display.

He has only one fantastic season on display because he's still a kid. He's the biggest talent of his age in the world.
As I've said before, I'm surprised that Atletico is throwing around this kind of cash on an individual player. When they were linked with Lacazette I was dumbfounded. This is at least 70% more, but for a bigger talent. I guess they might argue that even at that price, he might still have value runway. And they have to appease fans post Griezmann, something that's never crossed our minds

Big coup for Atletico, but would he want to go there, he could literally pick any club to play for. He's going to be worth 200m+ in a year

The fee does not matter, that's a big coup for Atletico . They basically swapped Griezmann for Felix. Griezmann is not worth anywhere near that amount either.

Apparently Mendes will pocket 30% of the fee - and he doesn't even represent the player 😆

What a bloke, you almost have to admire how he has the game in a fucking chokehold. He pockets 36m despite having no ties to the player, and it's not even like he's facilitating a transfer Atletico are simply activating a clause ffs

Shadow intermediaries. Getting spooky out there
