de Ligt and van Dijk. Fucking nightmare. someone kiss me awake in 2025.

Klopp and his coaches are more of a nightmare than any of Liverpool's players. Most of these guys would look average under a different manager.

Eriksen is a brilliant player, leaving is good but I'm kinda afraid of who Spurs will sign as replacement.

Lille has a 10m bid rejected for Jeff Reine-Adelaide. He has been one of Ligue 1's standout CMs this season. Angers holding out for 25m. Great job by us to sell him for 1.6m without a buyback clause. He seems unhappy about his time here:

Woah, I actually thought he was just on loan. Either that, or I'd forgotten.

Yeah I was surprised Emery let JRA leave, he seemed to be having a good pre season. Malen was another one who is doing well in Eredivisie. Hopefully don't make the same mistake with Bielik.

Hazard to Real all but official. 100m euro.

88m pounds. Good deal all around. Doesn't make the market mad. Wish they'd done this earlier for our sake 😆

Don't rate Eriksen. Hope he stays at Spurs and leaves for nothing next summer.

I read he was one of the most successful dribblers in Europe this season too. So many good qualities to his game that we're missing right now.

The whole missing link from kiddies to adult team has been such a farce. We have completely fumbled that transition in the last 5 years. It's been so haphazard that it's negated the value of actually having an academy. What's the point if you are not going to create an avenue for a Jeff or a Gnabry to prove their might? Might as well not even have an academy. We need to get that moment of truth right

Real Madrid going ham... Signing a full team of superstars before the window even opens. I wish we could do that with average players, let alone superstars...

It's shambolic. We know the transfer team is dogshite, but the way we handled the youth transition is so poor as well. So many talented players we have not given a proper chance to, and many others we let them go on such a cheap deal. If we had given them proper chances here or arranged a proper loan move for them, we could have sold them at prices so much higher.

There's so much wrong in the entire structure on hindsight since our new stadium move onwards.

Mendy signed too? That's a shame, remember Ricky spotted him way back in the UCL group stages.

Seems like Juventus number 1 target this summer is Pogba after signing Chiesa, already made contacts. City also close to 70m deal for Rodri.

Yep, there must be some sort of mistake. I spotted him first so he's mine. I'll fax Real and let them know.

It's going to be the biggest summer for many a year because all of the biggest clubs need multiple players as part of a rebuild. All that money will find its way further and further down the football pyramid until at some point through twists and turns yet unseen it will enable Arsenal to re-sign Stephan Lichtsteiner and give Granit Xhaka the contract extension he deserves.

Just saw the price Ferland Mendy is going for. 50m + 8m add ons apparently. No way we could compete to be fair unless our scout discovered him 3 months before we saw him in the UCL.

Fully agree.

Over the years it seems like it has been impossible for the kids to get a chance. We have persisted with players in the wrong positions, or players playing very poorly. We have really messed up over the last few years.

I wonder if January transfers + loan backs (till end of season) will become more fashionable for teams on a budget. Take Mendy for example, he's looked good and you could see a smaller bid (30-40m) being accepted by Lyon mid season if they get the player back on loan until the end of the season.

Is that allowed?

3 months before his appearance in the CL? even that's too late. for arsenal to have signed him he needed to be scouted at le havre. once he's at lyon he's only going for big money.

he was here from 2015 and wenger the youth whisperer never got anything out of him. no one even cared when he was sold to angers last summer.

I notice you were careful there not to refer to Wenger as the kiddie whisperer.

how was i careful, didn't even cross my mind. i might have hated by the end of his tenure, but i was never down with the vile pedo shit. that's manyoo and tottnumb scumbag shit.
